The text on this page gives an overview of the project. This includes information on the project's objective, the data used, and the implementation.
These buttons can be used to download our source and current data, allowing for reproduction of our app/research. Each button downloads a csv file with the following information.
Gives counties and their mortality rates for different causes in different time periods.
Gives counties by FIPS code and each county's value for all factors used. Information about the source of this factor information can be found using the factor view page of the app or the data from the Factor Descriptions button below this one.
Resulting csv describes each factor. This includes short and long text descriptions, links to data sources, and if it is used in the final analysis.
For the currently selected state and mortality type, gives all counties and the cluster they are found to be a part of.
For each cluster, gives the death rate during multiple time windows from 2000-2017. Also gives the number of counties in each cluster.
For the selected state gives the Kendall correlation with the factors from Factor Descriptions that are marked as being used. Also gives the p-value for each and if the relationship with mortality is protective or destructive.
The final one is the blue text. These are links in various places (mostly to our project wiki) that are there for convenience of the user. They allow the reader to search for more information. Check out the rest of the wiki if you are curious.
