What problem are you trying to solve?

The library currently lacks Chromecast/Airplay support, which is needed for casting playback to external devices.

Proposed solution

Add Chromecast/Airplay support to the library. For web, this could piggy back on videojs v10, which has Airplay/Chromecast support planned. For Android/iOS, it would need to be implemented from scratch natively.
