Summie v4.1.2 — Release Notes

A small but important patch. v4.1.2 fixes a silent formatting bug in the toolbar and gives the text color and highlight pickers a proper Word-style redesign.

Bug Fixes

Text & highlight color buttons — stopped opening their color picker entirely, with no error and no visible effect. Caused by a toolbar layout change that silently clipped the picker popup. Popups are now positioned independently of the toolbar, so they can no longer be clipped
Style editor dropdown — the style list no longer stayed open behind the "Stijl bewerken" (edit style) window. Opening "Bewerken" or "Nieuwe stijl" now closes the dropdown automatically, matching normal style selection
Style editor close button — the close button (×) on the "Stijl bewerken" window was unstyled due to a leftover CSS class from an unrelated page. It now matches every other modal's close button

Improvements

Color & Highlight Pickers

Both color pickers have been redesigned for a more Word-like experience.

Common colors row — a single row of frequently used colors sits at the top of each picker, separated from the rest
Color families by column — colors below are grouped into columns by hue, each running from a deep/saturated tone down to a light tint (5 shades per column)
Dedicated white column — a separate column runs from white down to very light gray
Smaller swatches — a denser, more compact grid that shows more colors without taking up more space
Expanded palette — text color grew from 18 to 48 colors; highlight color grew from 13 to 49 colors (including "Geen markering")

Technical

topbar.js — color/highlight range-saving now happens on mousedown instead of click to reliably capture the selection before it can collapse; color picker popups are moved to <body> at init and positioned with fixed coordinates computed from the button's bounding box, escaping the toolbar's scroll/animation clipping context
topbar.css — color picker popup repositioned via position: fixed; swatch grid restructured to an 8-column layout; new .color-none-btn style for the highlight picker's "Geen markering" option
index.html — text and highlight color swatch markup rebuilt as an 8-column × 5-row hue/shade matrix under an 8-color common row
styles.js — style dropdown now closes itself when "Bewerken" or "Nieuwe stijl" is clicked, instead of staying open behind the modal
