In the settings there are some things, which I will not explain in full length here, but in other pages. Those will be marked with a star (*) and a number. Down below I will then put in the Wiki Page.
- The setting at the very top is the language. Just choose between English and German
- Then there are themes. Here you can configure your theme, and your xml colour scheme for the editor *1
- Now you can choose the editor font size. Just choose anything you like here
- Below that, there is a checkbox for "auto stop". This setting toggles, if ThIDE should stop a running process, this means the programm you are running, if your pc hits its limit. So if your Hardware resources Hit 90%, the programm you launched whith ThIDE gets killed. You should definetly turn on this setting, if you are expirementing with something which could make your pc freeze, because it isn't easy to end the process then. I would turn it off, if you have bad hardware and you are fine if your pc hits its Limit.
- Just right below this there are the visual and hardware settings. You can turn the hardware acceleration and motion blur on and off and you can configure scroll and motionblur settings. First of all, the Hardware acceleration. Do not turn this one on, if you dont have a GPU! If you do, the GUI will become really weird, buggy and turns black. But motionblur looks bad without it. Motionblur means, that if you scroll in the editor, everything blurs with the Direktion you are scrolling, making it a smoother experience. Scroll speed and fps should be self explaining. After changing fps, restart ThIDE, otherwise motionblur becomes broken. Scroll speed is simply the speed at which you are scrolling, it changes it for everything in ThIDE, also terminal and settings. If you have problems with the UI appearing weird or broken, or you don‘t have a GPU, turn off hardware acceleration! *2
- At the very end, there are the hotkeys. If you don‘t change them, they are just as I personally like them, if you prefer different ones, just change them.
There will come many new things to the settings, so it can happen, that there is missing some information about a new setting for some days. I am really sorry for such behavior, but I will fo my best to work with my limited resources.
