7zip missing ?

hi,

i install the plugin via nuget package manager in visual studio 2026 into my .net 10 maui ios projekt (net10.0-ios26.2). during compilation throwing the error:

"Could not find 7zip.exe in Xamarin installation"

anybody knows what ist todo for fix this issue?

ok, i have found the solution:

this ist currently a bug in the VS2026 installation, i hope future update fix the issue.

the workaround:

• download 7zip from [(https://www.7-zip.org/download.html)] and install
• add C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7z.exe to your projectfile

now it compiles how expected.

What version(s) of Plugin.Firebase are you using? I don't think this should be a thing anymore as of v4.0

the solution:

install 7z.exe and add the path to the "PropertyGroup" into your projectfile.
