1.1 API Changes

This doc lists API changes to old functions, not new additions. For those, review the docs or commits.

Terrain3D

• get_snapped_position() -> get_clipmap_target_position(), get_collision_target_position()
• set/get_show_instances() -> set/get_instancer_mode() now an enum { Disabled, Normal } eventually placeholder and saver modes
• ocean_light_target + get/set -> light_target (both were added in 1.1)

Terrain3DCollision

• update(rebuild) -> update(region_location=all, rebuild=false), allow updating only one region

Terrain3DData

• is_in_slope(...invert) -> is_in_slope(...normal): Invert is removed, a custom normal is added; both optional

Terrain3DInstancer

• dump_data() -> is now Terrain3DData.dump(), which also calls Terrain3DRegion.dump()
• update_mmis() now has 3 parameters: (mesh_id, region_loc, rebuild)

Terrain3DAssets

• set/get_texture() -> set/get_texture_asset()

Terrain3DMeshAsset

• set/get_uv_projection -> set/get_vertical_projection
• (set_)generated_type has been unexposed until there are more types. Clear scene_file to revert to a texture card.

Terrain3DMaterial

• (set/get_)auto_shader -> (set/get_)auto_shader_enabled
• (set/get_)dual_scaling -> (set/get_)dual_scaling_enabled
• enable_shader_override() -> set_shader_override_enabled()
• TextureFiltering enum has new elements added and has been reordered, important if using NEAREST.

  • uv_projection -> vertical_projection
