Disk utilization

Thanks for this great integration, is it possible to also expose disk utilization metrics?

Yes, this could implemented by calling /storage/disk/iops and storage/volume/iops and specifying an additional parameter what to show (it seems /storage/pool/iops is not available):

• disk or volume reads/writes per second (we already have this),
• disk or volume IOPS,
• disk or volume utilization.

I'll add IOPS and utilization status sensors (read every 5s) for each disk and volume in the next version. However, please note:

• utilization is not a very precise way of measurement - it's more of an indicator, as there are just too many variables involved to be a precise value,
• not going to add this as additional attributes to the summary sensors (in next version, all 5s measurements are removed from the summaries, as these redundant data are significantly (!) increasing recorder database size and overall utilization.

That's fine, migrating data from a Synology NAS to this new UGREEN one and it's one of glare over metrics to see how busy the disks are.

That's fine, mainly using this as a quick system's business indicator. Also that is a pretty nice optimisation 👍

All good, happens. :)

I still need to do the example dashboard changes for the feature request on controlling backup jobs from within HA, then we will proceed to the next beta. Might take a couple of days, as my priority is another integration right now, that needs to be finished before HA 2026.8, as it is used as a reference implementation for the new 'Modbus' connection system in HA Core.

Beta version has just been released - the requested feature is included.

Side note on the buttons: There is a confirmation configured on each button:

So, it's rather unlikely that you or your cats are triggering it by accident (at least my own cat never managed to do so, and she's rolling on the keyboard rather often to request for my attention). ;)

Awesome! I did disable the button entities in HA as well. Cats aren't the only ones that might trigger things. Seen voice commands turn off smart plugs instead of lights, so started aggressively filtering and locking that down 😅 .
