Thanks, these are good finds. Could you share the URLs of the recipes these came from? I can reproduce the range one ("4 - 5") and the size words ending up in the name, but the exact text matters for things like the ", diced" note, so I'd rather test against the real pages. Merge is a good idea. The pantry already has a select mode (long-press an item), so I'll add it there: pick the main item and the rest become its variants, with recipe links intact. I'd rather not create variants automatically from the ingredient text, since things like "crushed tomatoes" aren't really a variant of tomatoes. |

I notice that ingredients that give number range tend to get parsed like this. I'm not sure what a better default behavior would be, though.
Also what is the workflow for setting up a pantry? In a new cooktrace instance, when I import a recipe and try to auto link to pantry, it creates items such as these:

I was hoping that maybe it could create the top level items (chicken thighs, butter, onion) and add any modifier text as a variant.
