Easter Eggs

The following Easter Eggs and reference jokes can be found in the game.

Girls' Restroom, Saint Alancia's

Attempting to enter the toilet stall when Jessica is in the party will result in an awkward conversation between the girls.

Honeypot Fields

Investigating the hole in the top left hand corner will cause Missy to break the fourth wall, referencing her relief that this is not the kind of adventure game in which she is required to descend into the hole to fight monsters.

Attempting to enter the blacksmiths will cause Missy to ask if you were hoping to buy her a sword (another RPG reference.)

Speaking to "Jackie O'Neill" the lady fishing in the pond will cause her to remark that there are no fish in the pond. This is a reference to a recurring gag on Stargate SG-1.

Examining the well will cause Missy to make a lame dad joke then ask what a dad is. Examining it as Abbie will cause her to reference this.

Lady Gardens

Examining the pillory behind Jessica's house before Chapter 5 will cause Missy to foreshadow later events by saying she's sure this isn't foreshadowing later events.

Renée's Slaver Base

Sitting on Renée's throne during the slaver party will cause Missy to proclaim herself "the sexy slaver queen."

Narnia

The gallery, accessed by entering the wardrobe in the spare room, and leading to a snowy clearing is a direct reference to The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.

Fivaviana

"Baelynn's" line "Mornin, nice day for fishing" is a reference to the character Baelin on Viva La Dirt League.

The "Flower Girl" and her associates "Lockheart" and "Barette" are all references to Final Fantasy VII.

In Fivaviana Precinct, the player can listen in on officers Riggs and Murtaugh (Lethal Weapon reference) and McLane, who will shout "Yippee Kiyay, motherfucker!" (Die Hard reference.)

The End of Time

The debug area is one big reference to Chrono Trigger, though it is not possible to go there without being in developer mode.

The Sacapuntas janitor Scruffy, who is permanently on break, is a reference to Futurama.

The Rise of Poppy

16-year-old Missy can be seen in the spinoff game with Renée in Fallulah Park.

Removed from the game

It used to be possible to attempt to switch clothes with Abbie, Lola or Jessica when they were in the party. Doing so would cause Missy to comment on this before the clothes were returned to their respective owners. Due to this causing bugs, this functionality was eventually simply disabled.

For posterity, the messages you could get were: "Abbie and I are not switching clothes! We're not even the same size!" (When you attempt to equip Abbie's dress to Missy.) "Abbie and I are not switching panties! And her bra won't fit me." (When you attempt to equip Abbie's underwear to Missy.) "I can't make her take her clothes off, remember?" (When you attempt to unequip Jessica's uniform.) "Gross, I'm not switching panties with Jess." (When you attempt to equip Jessica's underwear to Missy.) "I can't ask her to do that, don't be ridiculous." (When you attempt to equip the punishment outfit to Abbie in Chapter 4.) "Gross, these tiny panties have been up my bum, I'm not asking her to put them on." (When you attempt to equip the tiny panties to Abbie in Chapter 4.)
