Hello everyone, this will be a bonus material week, covering additional content complimentary to last week's Spectral Signatures material. These walk-throughs are now posted and can be found here. For previous course emails, see here.

This Week

For those attending in-person:

• No in-person class (waiting on CC to get back)

For those attending online, I will be recording the one-off bonus walk-through live-streams on Monday and Tuesday (since I am out of town on Wednesday and Thursday).

• Monday, July 20th starting at 1800 EST (Monday 2200 GMT+0), covering the 1) Concatenate Extended; 2) Retrieving ImmPort datasets; and 3) Clean Up Gates bonus materials.

• Tuesday, July 21st starting at 1800 EST (Tuesday 2200 GMT+0), covering the Signature Matrices; and LuciernagaIntegration bonus materials.

All recordings will be available immediately afterwards on YouTube.

Next week, we will cover primary course material (Week # 13 Signature Comparisons), and will be back to our regular schedule. We will learn how compare different fluorophore signatures to each other using various common metrics. Additionally, we will investigate how these interactions become more complex as new fluorophore signatures are added to a panel, the spread that gets introduced, and how this impacts data interpretation at the time of unmixing. These will be live-streamed on:

Community Feedback Survey # 2

Since this is our first year offering the course, we will sporadically ask you to fill out a feedback survey to evaluate what is going well, what areas can be improved on. The community feedback survey #2 can be found here and will be open for the next two weeks.

One of the areas we would appreciate feedback on is on whether to try to cut weekly content down to 1 hour (and increase number of weeks) or continue flexible 1-2 hours (and stick to 30 weeks). This all comes back to whether "being consistent" vs "having off weeks to process" is more useful.
