Cyze v0.2.0-rc.2
Tailscale Server fixes
v0.2.0 Ironwood
The first release candidate for the Ironwood (NU6.3) feature wave. Cyze is a desktop wallet and signing companion for threshold-controlled Zcash funds — a group jointly controls a wallet where no single person ever holds the full key.
Highlights
Ironwood (NU6.3) wallet — V6 transactions post-upgrade; Ironwood-first balances; legacy Orchard appears only when present, with a one-tap sweep.
Faster sync, standard now — the pipelined scanner is the default/only path; also syncs against pre-Ironwood testnet servers instead of failing.
ZNS Integration - Now able to use ZNS names by using the name followed by .zcash (ie Bitcoin.zcash) and resolve to the address the ZNS owner has listed
Tailscale hosting — publish the embedded server to your tailnet at a stable *.ts.net URL (tailnet-only, no cert step).
One active wallet at a time — a Zcash → Wallets switcher.
In-app Diagnostics log for troubleshooting.
Calmer mainnet UX — a small Mainnet/Testnet pill replaces the banners; one slim send confirmation remains.
Fixes — wallet setup no longer hangs silently (logs + timeouts + real errors); overlapping syncs no longer trip "database is locked". Full list in CHANGELOG.md.
Install —
- Linux .AppImage/.deb/.rpm
- macOS .dmg (Apple Silicon/Intel)
- Windows .msi/.exe. frostd + cloudflared are bundled
- Unsigned builds may need a Gatekeeper/SmartScreen override.
Known limitations — still on RC Zcash crates; Tailscale needs install + sign-in on all parties; no in-app fallback to the old sync driver.
Cyze v0.1.0-rc.14
- Fix intermittent 'database is locked' on the wallet page: the balance poll no longer takes a write lock, so it can't race the sync writer. - TLS handshake EOF is reported as a transport problem (proxy/VPN/blip), not a certificate rejection. - Add the User Walkthrough & Testing Guide (docs/USER_GUIDE.md), linked from the README. Follows v0.1.0-rc.13.
