In the latest version 2.27 there is no such option --remove-prefix, what is the needed alternative solution there?

#1979

Just dropping the argument would work.

I think I solved it, adding --https instead of --remove-prefix resolves the mixed content errors and uses https. Probably the prefix option was the removal for http: which probably resulted in the protocol-less // version in the past.

The Mixed Content warning depends on the repositories' HTTP headers as well, they could be configured in the advanced settings.
