New btop/nvitop style alternative TUI

Hi, I wanted a TUI amdgpu_top that was a bit more like btop/nvitop, so I made one: https://github.com/lhl/amdgpu_top_tui2

It's still brand new (still figuring out what features I might want to add or how I might want to tweak it) and it's ofc fully vibecoded, but if you like it, happy to figure out upstreaming it at some point?

If not, nbd, for anyone interested, the repo is public and it's one cargo command to install.

However, incorporating the tui2 frontend as an upstream would be very difficult.

First, tui2 is not an add-on but a completely separate application.
This is because tui2 is not provided as a library crate like amdgpu_top_{tui,gui,json}.

amdgpu_top is my personal project, which I maintain in my spare time.
Therefore, reviewing large amounts of AI-generated code and finding the time to maintain it would be extremely difficult.

At this point, I think it's in both of our best interests to treat tui2 as a completely separate application.

I would like to comment with some corrections and concerns.

libamdgpu_top has been published on crates.io, for three years.
https://crates.io/crates/libamdgpu_top/versions

Also, you should avoid including a git version as a dependency without specifying a hash.
Depending on the timing of changes and downloads to libamdgpu_top, the build may fail.

To reiterate, tui2 is not a fork of amdgpu_top; it is simply a separate application that uses the common libamdgpu_top.
And why call it amdgpu_top_tui2?
Also, a numbering like "2" will mislead users,
making them wonder whether "2" appeared because amdgpu_top development had stopped.

Thanks for the pointer to the crate, I’ll update to that.

I think the naming is actually pretty hard to confuse - it’s not amdgpu_top2 it’s a very unwieldy ‘tui2’ and the very top of the README in the repo both clearly describes what it is as an add-on, links to amdgpu_top. As any user needs to go to the repo to install, I think it’d be awfully hard for them to misinterpret, but if you have any suggestions I’m open to hearing about it.

The naming and this response are all typed entirely by a real human being so please calibrate appropriately.

Hi, I just read your response in #168, and gave it a think, and believe that you're correct - it should be independent. I've renamed the project to reduce any potential confusion and made sure it does there is no unintended association with amdgpu_top. Thanks again for your wok on libamdgpu_top, I am now pointing to the crate.
