Retention

Retention deletes older backups from the target folder.

It runs only after a successful backup.

Keep last backups

Example:

Keep last backups: 10

The newest 10 backups are kept.

Keep backups for

Example:

Keep backups for: 30 days

Newer backups are kept.

Retention mode

OR

A backup is deleted when at least one enabled rule allows deletion.

AND

A backup is deleted only when all enabled rules allow deletion.

Retention exclusions

Selected tags are protected.

Example:

Final

Backups tagged Final are never deleted.

Confirmation

Before deletion, you can choose:

• Cancel
• Continue without deleting
• Delete backups

Cancel stops the complete backup process.
