Inviting nominations for UCP Lodging Tech Council

Announcement

The Lodging Tech Council Charter Proposal has been approved by the UCP Governing Council. Nominations for the founding Lodging Tech Council (Lodging TC) cohort are now open, and we invite eligible organizations to apply before July 13th.

Purpose

The Lodging TC will define and maintain the UCP capabilities that cover full-funnel journeys for the lodging domain including discovery, loyalty and deals, and bookings to provide seamless experiences for users.
By bringing together lodging ecosystem participants and AI platform partners, the council aims to build the shared standards that make agentic commerce trustworthy and broadly adoptable across the lodging industry.

Structure

The Lodging TC operates under the UCP Governing Council and works in conjunction with other Domain Technical Councils, including the existing Shopping TC. Seat allocation, voting rules, and formal governance will be determined by the Governing Council, with the goal of balanced representation from founding organizations and the broader UCP community.

How to Apply

Organizations with lodging domain expertise and a commitment to UCP's open, vendor-agnostic approach are encouraged to apply. Selection is based on multiple factors including technical depth in the lodging domain, ecosystem representation, and demonstrated contributions to the protocol's health and adoption.
