We are pleased to announce that Unlocked Labs is taking its first steps towards creating an open source community to develop a correctional education platform that is free, equitable and capable of solving the toughest issues in correctional education. As part of that first step we have released the version 0.1.0 alpha of our UnlockEd project. You are free to use it under the terms of the Apache-2.0 license.

In the next 30 days, we will begin to share our vision of the future; a future where justice involved learners have access to education on a level comparable to their free-world counterparts, a future where best practices in data collection and analytics drives the field instead of profit margins and unreasonable security concerns. We hope that you will join us in this quest to fix our very broken criminal justice system, to help us find a future where decarceration through education is a reality.
