Jupyter instance for python training

We are currently using this instance of jupyter, built and maintained by the ITS platforms engineering team. (Main contact rhiannon.allsopp@manchester.ac.uk, backup contact David.Cartwright@manchester.ac.uk, as of October 2025)

• Sometimes this seems to randomly stop working and then won't let you connect. Workaround: Go to this link and you should be able to stop and restart your jupyter server. You will then be able to reconnect. Backup: We can still use the RIT version of Jupyter lite. Reported by Jonny & Emma, October 2025.

• "trying to log into the hub and getting 400:Bad Request message" Workaround: "appears to be a problem with the local lecture PC.  In this case, trying a different browser (Chrome instead of Edge) worked.  ... may also be worth trying an incognito window." Reported by a researcher, October 2025
