Windows11 can not connect the IQ2

Hi,

My PC is Windows 11, I can use VEXCode and VEXCode web connect my IQ2.
But, the brain can not be detected on VSCode.

VSCode extention Version 0.5.0
IQ2 is the lastversion 1.0.8
VEX Devices Driver Installer has been installed.

I change a new Win11 PC. the issue is same.

How can I fix this, THX

Hello,

Do you have both VEXcode IQ and the VEX Extension open?
This might cause a conflict and prevent the VEX Extension from connecting to your IQ Gen 2 Brain.

So I setup a windows 11 machine.
I was able to get the IQ Gen 2 Brain to connect and download a python user program.
I'm running the same versions:
VEXOS: 1.0.8.0
Extension version 0.5.0

When the connection error occurs, can you verify that the IQ Gen 2 Brain is detected by device manager.
You should see something like this:

Hi, Thx for your quick response :) 1. Run VSCode only. and I found I can't open webIDE and VEXCode at the same time.  2. following pic is my device manager. It seem OK.  3. this is my extension folder  4. this driver has been installed  5. I setup on a new PC. The same issue. 6. Was the controller linked to the brain when you had the Gen 2 Controller connected?
What type of IQ Brain are you using?
Is it a Gen 1 or Gen 2 brain?

What happens if you:

• If you connect the controller to your conputer with brain power off. This way there is no link.
• Verify the controller shows up in the device info panel and connects to the VEX Extension.
• Then power on the brain.

Does the controller disconnect from the VEX Extension?
Do you get any additional infomation from the Device Info panel?

Ok, let replay the process.

1. power off the controller.
2. plugin to PC
3. Open the VSCode

4. The controller is turned on automatically. and the vscode detecte the controller.

5. turn on the brain and link the brain (both controller and brain flash the light)
   click the refresh the button.

an error is showen.

Error running command vexrobotics.vexcode.system.info: Bad control character in string literal in JSON at position 1391. This is likely caused by the extension that contributes vexrobotics.vexcode.system.info.

I think I have found the cause of the problem.

It is possible that my program contains some Chinese characters.
When I deleted all the programs, it is working.
