The Game is working fine, but when I go to the store and try to click on the dollar symbol to buy one of the prerelease pack that cannot be bought with gems, nothing happens, when it should bring up a page for paiement.

Report that driver issue to your distro's package maintainer(s) for AMDVLK and retest the game with mesa/RADV.

@jamincollins, I forgot a detail that's critical to your system.

You have a Renoir GPU. Renoir has GFX9 inside of it (https://www.x.org/wiki/RadeonFeature/#radeongraphicscomputehardware), and AMDVLK has dropped support for GFX9 in v-2023.Q4.1 (Drop support for gfx8-9 ASICs at https://github.com/GPUOpen-Drivers/AMDVLK/releases/tag/v-2023.Q4.1).

Future versions of AMDVLK will also not support your GPU, so there's nothing for an Arch package maintainer to fix. Reconfigure your system to use RADV.

Symptoms

• Steam works
• Launching MTGA works
• Post-sign in / actually accessing the game triggers this ambiguous socket error
  • Only after signing in does "You have lost your connection to the server" show up.
• Moved ~/.local/share/steam/ to a larger harddrive w/ a symlink, assuming /home was low on space / maybe Arena is trying to cache locally (home is partitioned and definitely smaller than your average harddrive) - no change (Steam still works fine)

Reproduction

Suspecting this is a combo of hardware/software or missing firmware? Debian probably isn't the ideal OS for gaming, but it's what I like to use as my daily driver.

Also worth mentioning:

• I have disabled ipv6 at grub
• Disabled local firewall (but not router firewall) - no change; router firewall seems to not be an issue, as Arena works fine on Android using the same wifi network as the Debian machine

Arena will not launch with the current Proton version (whatever the default happens to be if a forced compatibility isn't applied). It does work if I force it to Proton 9.0-4. The error that appears can be seen here:
