Symptoms

Horrid audio buzzing the instant I open the game. It's a nasty, atonal buzz. Now given that this game uses complex mathematics to generate the audio, I suspect that it's using something in the audio pipeline that most games don't, thereby triggering the issues.

Reproduction

Open the game, it fails on the startup menu.
