The issue you're having is from the Haswell generation of GPU. Unfortunately, the Vulkan driver for your hardware generation is incomplete and lacks hardware features which are required and that makes your system unsupportable by Proton in general.

Having written that, the specific issue you're seeing is that DXVK bundled with Proton requires Vulkan 1.3 and the Haswell running with the mesa/hasvk driver only provides Vulkan 1.2 (https://gist.github.com/villodres2013-cyber/39a0a943c187fa0bd3c6469942202bad#file-gistfile1-txt-L115) (https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/7827). As a workaround, you could try telling mesa to lie about what version of Vulkan it supports, and you might get lucky, but even then crashes or misrenderings are expected. Alternatively, you could try setting game's launch options to PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%, which tells Proton to use wine's DirectX to OpenGL render path, but that comes with a severe performance penalty and that environment variable is not considered supported.
