My specs:
Distro: Arch Linux 64Bit
CPU: AMD-FX 8350 (running at 4.0 GHz)
4GB RAM
Graphics card: nVidia GeForce 660 GTX (using beta driver)
Desktop Environment: KDE 4.10
As the title says I am unable to use any Portal mods. When I put the mod folder into my sourcemods folder and restart Steam, the mod appears in my Library, but when trying to launch it, it gives me a missing executable error. So I've tried a little workaround: I created a symbolic link in my Portal directory to the mod folderand then ran Portal with the following options: "-dev -game portalprelude -console" (portalprelude is the name of the symbolic link). But I get the error "Can't find background image materials/console/startup_loading.vtf"
I think this bug is SteamPipe related, because on Windows it works fine without being in the Portal SteamPipe beta, but after opting into the SteamPipe beta on Windows I get the same error (can't find background image) there too. The only difference is, that I don't get a missing executable error on the mod Shortcut and don't have to use a workaround.
