Could the new disk-backed cache be extended to other stream types to accomplish some of this? |

If I don't already have something saved locally, I'll tend to use Stremio because of the ease of use and because my bandwidth is such that I can usually stream fine but it's a long wait to let a whole download finish. However, I am on private trackers and have a fair amount of space to seed so I would love it if AIOStreams could cache the stream to disk while serving it to the client, then once a certain configurable percentage of the file has been saved, it will save the whole file to disk so I can watch it again and seed the file without duplicating bandwidth. A similar idea is https://github.com/persistarr/persistarr which saves NZBDAV streams, but if it were implemented at the level of AIOS it could be stream type-agnostic
Other nice-to-haves would be if AIOS could add the movie/show to Radarr/Sonarr and then import the files into it, or trigger a search for trackers to seed the file via cross-seed or qui with webhooks (although Radarr and Sonarr themselves can trigger these).
If using something like Gelato, you could watch something the first time sourcing it via AIOS, then with later rewatches you seamlessly could go to the same Jellyfin app to watch it but now it's streaming from your own local library.
There are cases where I may want to disable this per-addon or per-stream type, e.g. with Plexio or a Sootio instance serving local media, saving the streams would just create extra copies of files I already have
