[Bug]: VM Freezes when in background for some time.

What happened?

When the VM is open and then if i go to some other tabs to do something, after some time the Ubuntu gets locked even though i have never lock and never sleep enabled in ubuntu.

How can we reproduce this?

Open the Ubuntu VM. open some other tabs for few minutes and then open the VM again. The ubuntu will be lock screen but upon unlocking the ubuntu will freeze.

Please attach a VBox.log, we can't possibly help you without it.

Hi @AlexanderEichner , Attached the log file at the end. The last logs are at the moment when the VM froze after few minutes of being in background.

Update!!

I upgraded my Guest OS from ubuntu 22.04 to ubuntu 24 LTS. Now the Ubuntu doesnt freeze. I guess this was an issue with the ubuntu itself rather than the VirtualBox. Hence closing the Issue.
