[Bug]: Drag and Drop fails if filename contains multiple consecutive periods ".."

What happened?

Whenever trying to Drag and Drop a file from the host to the guest with a double period (or more) anywhere in the name, the operation fails. This bug has been in Virtualbox for many years, but I'm using the latest Version 7.1.10 r169112 (Qt6.5.3) with 7.1.10.vbox-extpack and updated Guest Additions in the guest host.

Drag and drop operation from host to guest failed.

Drag and drop error from host (VERR_INVALID_PARAMETER).

How can we reproduce this?

Try to drag and drop any file from a host to a guest that contains a ".." or more periods. For example, trying to drag and drop a file named "Silica...Dryer.3mf" or "Silica..3mf" fails.

Does this only happen for those specific files (having ".." as part of the file name)?

It happens to any file with multiple consecutive periods. I've had numerous files over the years that failed to drag and drop. As soon as I remove the extra periods from the file name, it drag and drops without issue.

This should be fixed in the next 7.2.x and 7.1.x maintenance releases.
