Cannot select a typed date when `text-input` is enabled in v12

v11 - enter selects date

1. Type a valid datetime in the input field e.g. "2011-01-11 11:11" (without the quotes)
2. Press enter

Expected behavior
The date is selected (the popup disappears)

Actual behavior
As expected

v12 - enter does not select date

The date is selected (the popup disappears)

Actual behavior
The date is not selected (the popup remains visible). It is also not possible to select the date at this point by clicking the select button.
