Overview

This release includes bug fixes and a new minor capability:

  • Added new input section additional_effects to include point inertia and point 6-dof mean loads (6eb7b1b). The previous option to include point inertias using input section pointInertias was removed. Test case tests/test_data/VolturnUS-S-pointInertia.yaml shows how to use this new capability, as well as the commented section in examples/VolturnUS-S_example.yaml
  • Bug fixes in the rotor class related to the floating feedback term and the turbulent wind speed amplitude (c8b1f3a). Turbulent wind forcing is still not working as expected but this seems to move things in the right direction.
  • We added BEM mass in model.solveEigen() in v1.4.0 but had forgotten to do the same in fowt.solveEigen() (5c798d1)
  • Bug fixes in the 2nd order wave loads that affected headings different from 0deg (9730895)
  • Temporary workaround for the bug in model.adjustBallast() described in #82 (4189e5e). RAFT has changed a lot since this function was implemented, and in the future we should overhaul model.adjustBallast() to make it more general, and probably move it to the FOWT class now that we can have multiple FOWTs in a RAFT model.
  • Added tests using pre-computed potential flow coefficients (6da1848)
