Warren VPN Beta 1.1.54
[1.1.54] - 2026-10-25
Fixed
- [Windows, macOS, Linux] Announce the forwarded port, and write it into the linked torrent client,
when the app opens after the VPN already got it, as it does when the computer starts. Both used
to wait for the next change of port, usually a change of country. - [Windows, macOS, Linux] Give the forwarded port back to the server when changing country, so the
next country grants the same port at the first request instead of refusing it first, and coming
back to the previous country gets it back at once. - [Windows, macOS, Linux, Android] Ask again at once when a server refuses a port entitlement,
instead of two seconds later.
Warren VPN Beta 1.1.53
[1.1.53] - 2026-10-22
Fixed
- [Windows, macOS, Linux, Android] Connect as soon as the network comes back when the app starts
without one, instead of waiting for the next attempt about 15 seconds later.
Security
- Take the certificate validation fixes that stop trusting intermediate certificates whose trust
was withdrawn (rustls-webpki 0.103.16, webpki-roots 1.0.10).
Warren VPN Beta 1.1.52
[1.1.52] - 2026-10-21
Fixed
- [Windows, macOS, Linux, Android] Get the chosen forwarded port back as soon as the VPN connects
after a restart of the computer or of the app, or after an update. The app introduced itself to
the servers as a new client at each start, and the port stayed reserved to its previous session
for several minutes. - [Windows, macOS, Linux] Say that the clock of this device is off when the servers refuse the
session tokens for it, instead of trying to connect without end.
Warren VPN Beta 1.1.51
[1.1.51] - 2026-10-14
Security
- Take the TLS library fix for a handshake downgrade: a server answer could make the key exchange
fall back from the post-quantum hybrid to a classical one (rustls 0.23.46).
Warren VPN Beta 1.1.50
[1.1.50] - 2026-10-14
Added
- [Windows, macOS, Linux] Withdraw a cryptocurrency purchase within 14 days from the Account
screen: the app keeps the purchases it redeemed, sends a declaration signed by your wallet, and
shows its reference, date and refund amount. - [Windows, macOS, Linux] Show the renewal notice 30 days before each renewal, with the amount and
the best tariff, and keep it as a dated PDF in the Account screen. A price increase is announced
a month ahead and is never charged without that notice.
Changed
- Always connect with anonymous tokens: the exit server never learns which account is connected.
A device that holds no token for the current period waits for new tokens instead of connecting
with the wallet signature. - [iOS] Deleting the account first unlinks the forum pseudonym from the wallet.
- Update the QUIC library to its latest release, with its security fixes.
- Remove the words "anonymous" and "untraceable" from the app where they overstated the service.
Warren VPN Beta 1.1.48
[1.1.48] - 2026-10-13
Fixed
- [Windows, macOS, Linux, Android] Fix port forwarding refused for several minutes after a fresh
install or a start without network: a failed request for port entitlements is now retried
within seconds instead of ten minutes.
Warren VPN Beta 1.1.47
[1.1.47] - 2026-10-07
Added
- [Windows] Add "Never without the VPN" to the route of an app in App routing: the app has no
Internet whenever the VPN does not carry it, while disconnected and with Warren VPN closed or
stopped included. Locked apps show a padlock, and the main screen says how many wait for the VPN. - [Android] Add "Never without the VPN" to the route of an app. While Warren is the VPN app of the
device, the locked apps have no Internet without the VPN, from boot, and every other app keeps
its connection. - [Linux] Add "Open never without the VPN" to the route of an app: the app opened this way has no
Internet while the VPN is off, until it is closed. - [Windows, macOS, Linux, Android] Show a landscape of France and one of Romania on the connect
screen when the exit is in that country, and redraw the default plain landscape.
Fixed
- [Windows] Fix the firewall reset run by the uninstaller and by the recovery tool, which removed
the rules and then crashed, so the uninstaller recorded it as failed.
Warren VPN Beta 1.1.46
[1.1.46] - 2026-09-30
Fixed
- [Windows, macOS, Linux] Keep port forwarding, session tokens and the account screen working on a
computer whose clock is more than a minute off: every signed request now takes the servers' clock
from the first refusal, and the problem report says how far off the clock is. - [Android] Keep port forwarding, session tokens and the account screen working on a device
whose clock is more than a minute off: every signed request now takes the servers' clock from the
first refusal any request meets. - [Windows, macOS, Linux] Say that the clock of this computer is off, by how many seconds and in
which direction, when the servers refuse port forwarding for it, instead of saying that the port
entitlements are used up. - [Android] Say that the clock of this device is off, by how many seconds and in which direction,
when the servers refuse port forwarding for it, instead of saying that the port entitlements are
used up. - [Android] Connect on an IPv6-only mobile network through an entry server that answers on IPv6.
The app took the first entry server of the list whatever the location chosen, and that server
answers on IPv4 only, so the connection could never come up there. - [Windows, macOS, Linux] Choose an entry server the network in use can reach, which on an
IPv6-only network means one that answers on IPv6. - [Android] Say that no entry server can be reached on this network when that is why the internet
is blocked, with a notification title of its own. The message no longer claims that the entry
servers answer on IPv4 only, and it now suggests another entry country or location. - [Android] Keep the name of the entry server out of the problem report, where the system log
lines of the secure connection showed it. The report now says which address types the entry
servers offer, which ones the network carries, and how the last connection attempt failed. - [Android, Windows, macOS, Linux] Open the download page of the beta website from the update
notice of a beta build, and the production one only from a production build. - [Windows, macOS, Linux, Android] Say in App routing that the network in use reaches no entry
server when that is why an app's route cannot run.
Warren VPN Beta 1.1.45
[1.1.45] - 2026-09-30
Fixed
- [Linux] Keep a Tailscale network reachable while the VPN is connected, as on macOS. Tailnet
traffic went into the VPN tunnel and was blocked there; Tailscale's own interface now carries it,
including when Tailscale starts after the VPN, and other networks stay blocked. - [Windows] Stop blocking the traffic of a Tailscale network on the Tailscale adapter while the VPN
is connected. Tailscale's own connection to its relays still counts as traffic outside the VPN.
Warren VPN Beta 1.1.44
[1.1.44] - 2026-09-29
Added
- [Windows, macOS, Linux, Android] Add a light theme, and a Theme setting in User interface
settings: System, Dark or Light. System follows the light or dark setting of the device, and stays
dark when the device states none.
Changed
- [Windows, macOS, Linux, Android] Redraw the connect screen. The connection card, the BETA banner
and the feature labels are opaque instead of letting the scenery show through, the status reads in
salmon while you are visible and in green once connected, Connect is dark green and Disconnect
brick red, and the BETA banner always holds on one line.
