Current alpha: 1.11.0-alpha.6 · GitHub prerelease

Use at your own risk; alpha may change daily. Read release policy for maturity, exact pins, channels, and compatibility limits. Python package metadata spells this release 1.11.0a6. systemx --version reports the external tool; systemx status --target ... reports the project's selected defaults. Additive updates preserve existing project-owned files and earlier snapshots.

Withdrawn tag: v1.9.0-alpha.1 failed an exact pinned remote install because the distribution manifest did not match tests/test_agent_y.py after a last-minute whitespace change. Do not install or select 1.9.0-alpha.1. The tag is not being re-pointed; later corrected releases supersede it.

Start with a Folder — media edition 3.0

Start with a Folder is a beginner-paced paper-and-ink animated guide: 595 seconds / 9:55, 3840 × 2160 / 30 fps, 17,850 frames, 30 scenes and 12 chapters. It includes synthetic English narration, 120 SDH caption cues, a transcript, native 4K poster, notices, and metadata/checksums. Watch on YouTube.

The local garden teaching example retains a deliberately failed hours check and a corrected rerun of the same checker. Its 31 local command invocations and two HTML files are synthetic evidence, not a real client, deployed application, provider run, or independent quality evaluation. Agent Z's sample retains 100 unknown answers; ROOT uses synthetic saved observations. No new model, connector, synchronization service, runtime capability, or software update is implied.

The media release label is media-field-guide-v3.0. Software remains 1.11.0-alpha.6; the film records source context 34bcaf85190d583f7e8eef0a0800d0f132ef7a05. Media editions 1.0/2.0, white-paper edition 2.0, the software release, and alpha.3 field-guide artwork retain their separate identities. Large film/authoring assets stay outside portable defaults. GitHub Actions remains disabled. Publication and playback readback are separate from the completed local export and its technical checks.

Advanced walkthrough media edition 2.0 — 2026-10-25

Inside the coordination layer explains the implemented 1.11.0-alpha.6 format at feature source f942daf38fc7f1661910912dbcf07faaec5ad7aa. The film is 353.916666 seconds, 1920 × 1080 / 24 fps, with 18 animated Blender scenes/native MP4 chapters and a separate native 3840 × 2160 poster. Watch on YouTube. Its media release label is media-advanced-v2.0, separate from the installer/defaults version.

The native-worker/Agent Y graphics explain supported host/controller workflows; they do not claim a recorded external Codex job or published PR. A separate 39-command local demonstration uses 20 synthetic HTML inventory files. The token fixture reports 7,475 / 1,008 / 396 per-resume input tokens with 0 / 8,547 / 7,733 upfront input, plus the 98 / 805 / 195 small-task counterexample. These are constructed text counts, not billing, model quality, speed, projected future savings, or a production-app result.

The advanced guide links the film, 4K poster, captions, transcript, copyable prompts, and fixture methodology. The original media edition 1.0, white paper edition 2.0, and alpha.3 four-part field guide keep their published identities and exact bytes. Software remains 1.11.0-alpha.6; no runtime capability or automatic ingestion/sync service is added. GitHub Actions remains disabled. Large film/authoring assets stay outside the portable template payload.

The media release groups the original film, native 4K poster, captions, transcript, prompts, chapter list, optional Blender source/HTML index, context fixture and methodology, third-party license/provenance notices, delivery metadata, and checksums. File identities and local verification scope are recorded in its metadata. The release label is separate from the software version and does not certify a downstream project.

1.11.0-alpha.6 — Documentation and media discovery — 2026-10-24

This publication brings the reviewed README/manual and media-discovery updates into an exact template release. It connects the public YouTube introduction, 4K poster, original MP4, captions, and transcript, current setup examples, and release evidence. Four unavailable historical Actions run URLs were replaced by their original run IDs and explicit historical context.

.SYSTEMX introduction poster showing portable project context and coordinated agent work.

Watch the introduction · Download the 4K poster

There is no new runtime capability, agent authority, record schema, hosted service, or automatic update behavior. GitHub Actions remains disabled; maintainer validation runs locally. New installations remain pinned/manual by default, and updates preserve project-owned records and earlier snapshots.

The introduction remains media edition 1.0, with an alpha.5 feature reference. Its original film has ten animated scenes and ten MP4 chapter markers, while YouTube provides nine navigation chapters. The film is 1920 × 1080 / 24 fps / 109.833333 seconds; the separate poster is 3840 × 2160. Large film assets stay in the immutable media release, outside the portable installer payload.

White paper edition 2.0 retains its alpha.4 examined source and alpha.5 publication identity. The four-part 4K field guide retains its alpha.3 media edition and exact bytes. Releasing the current template does not relabel or revise those earlier artifacts.

The published prerelease is release 423158780, published 2026-10-25 05:05:53 UTC (24 October, 22:05:53 PDT), with draft=false, prerelease=true, and immutable=true. Reviewed source f942daf38fc7f1661910912dbcf07faaec5ad7aa is named by main, Alpha1, and the annotated v1.11.0-alpha.6 tag at publication. All six public assets were downloaded without authentication and matched the reviewed byte counts and SHA-256 digests below.

Fresh macOS arm64 runs each completed the full 302-test suite: 297 passed, five skipped, zero failures/errors, on Python 3.9.6 (337.177 seconds) and Python 3.14.5 (273.644 seconds). The five skipped cases require a case-sensitive filesystem. Ten separate publication-security tests passed on Python 3.12.14. Windows and Linux were not freshly run; these local checks are not a downstream production certification.

Folder ZIP/wheel parity covers 237 portable files / 150 Markdown documents. The 27 package/lifecycle commands and five remote-pin commands completed with expected outcomes, including intended refusals. Logged uninstall/restore retained exact bytes for 478 files; alpha.5-to-alpha.6 selection preserved 239 checked outer files and 237 older cached-default files, including custom project records and payloads. All eight stock bootstrap files required no replacement. See Code review and readiness and the public review for scope, commands, and remaining limits.

The exact codeload tag ZIP is 18,337,363 bytes, SHA-256 a50f0566c07f5a0c51b14a38bf6e3eb38b3c61d2953352304b186fa4fca0b464. All 276 tracked source files matched the reviewed commit. An explicitly pinned remote preview/install/status/offline-validation sequence passed with all 237 selected files exact. A wrong pin returned exit 2 before creating .SYSTEMX and preserved the owner marker. This codeload digest differs from the folder-only ZIP asset digest.

Introduction media edition 1.0 — 2026-10-24

The introduction film and 4K poster are published under the separate media-intro-v1.0 media release. The film is 109.833333 seconds at 1920 × 1080 / 24 fps, with ten animated Blender chapters, synthetic narration, original ambient music, and captions. Its feature reference is template 1.11.0-alpha.5, source 85c9d6b78b9143b7ad928cc2b26050d1194921fa.

GitHub release 423103796 was published 2026-10-25 02:28:32 UTC (24 October in America/Los_Angeles) with draft=false, prerelease=true, and immutable=true. Its annotated tag names publication source 78eb15467bd07ed1d3075959e7735c933c07e4ed. The feature baseline above remains separate from this documentation/media publication source.

The film is also available on YouTube through the Wayne Tech Lab channel. YouTube supplies nine navigation chapters; the original downloadable film retains its ten animated scenes and ten MP4 chapter markers. The published release assets and checksums are unchanged.

This media publication changes no default instructions, runtime behavior, records, update policy, or installer version. At that media publication, the template remained 1.11.0-alpha.5; white paper edition 2.0 and the alpha.3 four-part field guide retain their existing identities. Large media is distributed as release assets rather than portable installer payload. Exact asset checksums are linked from the media release.

1.11.0-alpha.5 — White paper edition 2.0 — 2026-10-20

The published immutable prerelease was read back through GitHub's API: release 418402174, published 2026-10-20 13:01:32 UTC, draft=false, prerelease=true, immutable=true. Its reviewed publication source is 85c9d6b78b9143b7ad928cc2b26050d1194921fa. All five assets were downloaded while draft and matched retained candidate bytes; live API sizes/digests were verified after publication. At publication, main, Alpha1, and annotated v1.11.0-alpha.5 resolved to that source. GitHub Actions remained disabled.

This publication update adds edition 2.0, Portable Project Coordination for AI-Assisted Work: 24 pages, 4,728 words, four original figures, and 15 references. Lucas (SatoshiUNO) is the author; the company credit is A product of Wayne Tech Lab LLC, separate from the .SYSTEMX product mark. Portfolio, business, repository, and manual links are clickable.

The paper examines 1.11.0-alpha.4, commit e086ba15a1e70c6b585b8f12a703defc5c984b2c. Publication source is 85c9d6b78b9143b7ad928cc2b26050d1194921fa; software behavior remains the alpha.4 contract. Paper edition, technical baseline, publication release, and media edition are different identifiers. The existing four-page 4K raster field guide retains alpha.3 identity and exact bytes.

The new paper explains the context/plan/canonical-task boundary, Agent 0/X/Y/Z/ Alpha, selected AUTOBOT references, ROOT request/planning structure, observed harness and optional bot TODOs, .SYSTEMXP scopes, installation/recovery, evidence, and security limits. Four original schematics/illustrations accompany the manuscript as PNGs and editable SVGs. The input-token example uses declared hypothetical assumptions; it reports no measured savings or effectiveness.

The provider-free walkthrough completed 30 local CLI commands on Python 3.9 and 3.14, including positive and refusal checks. It uses disposable records and synthetic harness observations; it starts no model, contacts no provider, creates no PR, and deploys no application. Sanitized commands, return codes, IDs, and response digests accompany the paper. The alpha.4 full-suite evidence is cited as historical implementation evidence, not as a new alpha.5 full run.

All 24 rendered pages passed publication review. The PDF has 119 external HTTPS links, 104 valid internal links, and 15 outline entries. It is selectable and clickable, with embedded Times New Roman, linked references/navigation, and a branded MLA-style layout; it is not tagged PDF/UA. Exact PDF size is 1,130,293 bytes, SHA-256 def4d23341e1aabc6908cb02a330537af549f992b8fbe23151928ea6f8383771.

Repeated checks for publication include 35 system runner tests on Python 3.9 and the same 35 on Python 3.14, plus 10 publication-security tests on Python 3.12.14. Counts overlap by test identity and are not a new 80-test repository-wide suite. Distribution inventory and installed/default adoption matched 237 portable files / 150 Markdown documents exactly. A fresh installed wheel passed first-run preview/apply and validation with only paper edition 2.0 in the new distribution/selected defaults. An alpha.4 project updated through preview/apply and validation while 231 checked outer files retained exact bytes, including the three old edition 1.2 paper files. All 228 files in the older defaults snapshot remained unchanged. Owner task, memory, rules, and local payload content was preserved. The selected new snapshot matched all 237 manifest files. These are distinct trees; the three old paper files are already included in the 231 count.

Only edition 2.0 is active in the paper folder. The frozen edition 1.2 PDF, manuscript, metadata, and citation erratum remain at v1.11.0-alpha.4; old audio retains its original edition label. Reusable template context, TASKS, registries, and agent memory remain generic/blank for adoption.

1.11.0-alpha.4 — Generic template package boundary — 2026-10-20

The published immutable prerelease was independently read back through GitHub's API: release 418362343, published 2026-10-20 12:20:00 UTC, draft=false, prerelease=true, immutable=true. Its target is reviewed source e086ba15a1e70c6b585b8f12a703defc5c984b2c.

  • Remove the application-specific integration reference bundle, endpoint inventory, domain/provider contracts, fixtures, tests, and associated bundled SDK material from the generic distribution. Such packages belong to the host application, referenced from Global context or the System MAP as appropriate.
  • Remove the dedicated provider integration wiki page, navigation, active advertising, and setup links. Historical source identities, artifact checksums, and numerical verification evidence remain attributed to their original immutable releases; the current manual does not advertise those old bundles.
  • Preserve the core Agent 0/X/Y/Z/Alpha, ROOT, AUTOBOT, DATA, .SYSTEMXP, and reviewed local toolchain contracts. The four current images retain media edition 1.11.0-alpha.3, feature baseline alpha.2, and their exact bytes.
  • Keep ordinary updates additive. Existing adopted reference files remain until their owner reviews a move/removal; template cleanup never authorizes deleting local user content or rewriting historical release evidence.

Strict distribution validation passed on Python 3.9 and 3.14 for 228 portable files / 150 Markdown documents. The complete manager and system runner modules passed 96 Python 3.9 tests (61 manager, 35 runner), without skips; this is targeted module coverage rather than a second repository-wide full-suite run. The complete Python 3.14 suite ran 302 tests in 353.070 seconds: 297 passed and five were skipped, with no failures/errors. All five skips require a case-sensitive filesystem unavailable on the macOS test volume. The 96-method Python 3.9 manager/runner result is targeted coverage, not a second full-repository suite; overlapping counts must not be added.

The folder ZIP and wheel matched all 228 source files byte-for-byte. The fresh installed-wheel first-run preview/apply and validation contain no retired integration bundle. Package metadata is MIT-only with zero runtime dependencies. The current distribution text, wheel entry names, and wheel content were checked for removed-provider/host references.

An installed alpha.3 project updated to alpha.4 through preview/apply and validation. Its selected new 228-file defaults cache omits the bundle and test module, while 36 checked outer files retain their exact bytes: 31 retired reference files, including owner/custom content, plus five canonical/payload files. All 259 files in the older cached snapshot also remain unchanged. Every current media file matches the alpha.3 image/document bytes.

Reviewed source: e086ba15a1e70c6b585b8f12a703defc5c984b2c. At publication, main, Alpha1, and annotated v1.11.0-alpha.4 resolved to the reviewed source. The source worktree was clean with local/upstream pointers matching; GitHub Actions remained disabled. All four assets were downloaded while the release was draft and matched retained candidate bytes. Independent live API readback confirmed release 418362343, draft=false, prerelease=true, immutable=true, publication 2026-10-20 12:20:00 UTC, and all four exact asset sizes/digests.

The exact-pin remote installation and validation passed with no retired bundle in the fresh outer records or selected defaults cache. A wrong pin returned exit 2 before .SYSTEMX creation, preserving the existing owner marker. The repository remains a public template; its description and topics describe generic project coordination rather than an application/provider integration.

1.11.0-alpha.3 — ROOT-aware four-page 4K field guide — 2026-10-19

The published immutable prerelease was independently read back through GitHub's API: release 417770466, published 2026-10-19 21:24:51 UTC, draft=false, prerelease=true, immutable=true. Its target is reviewed source e9428deef7175737e2a0151d8512d8e60d26fa65.

  • Refresh all four 3840 × 2160 field-guide pages: overview; agent coordination and CLI tooling; AGENTA and all ten AUTOBOT functions; DATA and named projects. The new artwork incorporates ROOT, SX-RULES.md, SX-MILESTONE.md, and canonical/harness/optional-bot TODO observations and reconciliation.
  • Keep WORK/TASKS.json as the only canonical task state/acceptance authority. ROOT mirrors retain scoped many-to-many item observations; root delta is read-only. Agent 0 uses actual authorized tools and external readback to reconcile the affected surface. Completed execution never auto-accepts work.
  • Update media metadata, prompts, accessible explanations, README/wiki embeds, and exact release links. Current graphics use the same four canonical names; historical 1.10 artwork stays at its immutable release. Additive installed updates preserve existing local image files and adopted project records.
  • Runtime behavior remains the reviewed 1.11.0-alpha.2 contract. Prior full-suite/runtime evidence remains historical, with media-release checks documented separately rather than presented as a fresh full-suite run.

Strict template/distribution validation passed on Python 3.9 and 3.14 for 259 portable files / 163 Markdown documents. An independent focused ROOT suite passed 25 tests. The folder ZIP and wheel matched all 259 portable source files byte-for-byte. Fresh installed-wheel first-run preview/apply and validation passed.

An installed alpha.2 project upgraded to alpha.3 through preview/apply and validation. Ten checked existing files retained exact bytes: four earlier local graphics, an owner file, a DATA payload, ROOT PLAN/MIRRORS, TASKS, and project memory. The selected new defaults cache contained all four refreshed image bytes. Additive update preserves old root image files; select the new release snapshot or versioned public links to view the refreshed edition.

1.11.0-alpha.2 — ROOT output bounds and coordination-path review — 2026-10-19

The published immutable prerelease was independently read back through GitHub's API: release 417384748, published 2026-10-19 14:23:57 UTC, draft=false, prerelease=true, immutable=true. All four retained downloads matched the uploaded asset bytes, and published API sizes/digests match the release table.

  • Measure ROOT packet bounds against the actual final indented UTF-8 CLI output, including scope/limit metadata and newline: 64 KiB for packets, 128 KiB for other ROOT responses. Refuse oversized mutation responses before persisting candidate records; initialization preflights before scaffold/log writes.
  • Extend Agent Y's case-insensitive coordination-path exclusions to .SYSTEMX/ROOT/ and .SYSTEMX/AUTOBOT/ for new preparation, selected execution/readiness, and returned-diff checks. Historical scopes remain readable without rewriting their evidence; protected older handoffs cannot run or become ready. Existing inspection/abandonment/cancellation/recovery retains its lifecycle gates. The controller creates no OS sandbox or independent identity boundary.
  • Correct stale wave/phase descriptions, explicit containing-directory prerequisites, ROOT canonical milestone assignment examples, and matching Library API preview/apply arguments. Explain SingleTask/action vocabulary and labeled harness plan-snapshot digests.
  • Preserve the frozen 1.10 infographic edition and historical release evidence; ROOT's current Mermaid/text manual describes newer optional coordination.

Focused Python 3.9 verification passed 77 methods with no skips/timeouts: 25 ROOT, 35 runner, 13 workspace, and four Agent Y regression tests. Strict validation covers 259 portable files / 163 Markdown documents. The full Python 3.14 suite completed 306 tests in 335.899 seconds: 301 passed and five case-sensitive-filesystem-only tests were skipped, with no failures or errors. The 77-method Python 3.9 run was targeted coverage, not a second full-suite invocation. Do not add overlapping focused/full counts.

Exact-package verification matched all 259 source files. Installed alpha.1 to alpha.2 update preserved adopted guides, request/task records, child ROOT, and local DATA; selected-runtime output refusal persisted no candidate despite retained older outer code. 1.11.0-alpha.1 — Optional ROOT planning and observed task delta — 2026-10-19

The published immutable prerelease was independently read back through GitHub's API: release 417217113, published 2026-10-19 11:33:48 UTC, draft=false, prerelease=true, immutable=true. All four downloaded asset bytes matched the retained files, and the published API sizes/digests match the table below.

  • Add ROOT/SX-RULES.md and ROOT/SX-MILESTONE.md for internal conventions, request provenance, flexible milestone → wave → phase → optional group → task → optional subtask → action structure, and a vendor-neutral tool-card contract. Counts are project-defined; expand only the next useful work.
  • Add optional ROOT/PLAN.json requests/nodes and ROOT/MIRRORS.json bindings/observations/cards with explicit preview/apply commands. Task status and acceptance stay in WORK/TASKS.json; ROOT nodes carry no competing state.
  • Compare actual many-to-many external item mappings with the aggregate state and fingerprints of all bound tasks. Preserve unverified, unavailable, stale, and divergent observations. Default delta assessment is harness-only; omitted layers are unassessed, and explicit both-layer selection needs real mappings.
  • Bound delta output to ten tasks by default (maximum 100) with coverage and truncation; selected work packets allow at most ten tasks and 64 KiB. Superseded mappings/attempts retain their history and do not cancel processes.
  • Initialize outer and selected child ROOT records independently and additively. Existing Agent 0/X/Y/Z/Alpha boundaries, provider/PR gates, private DATA ownership, exact case, and no-GitHub-Actions policy remain intact.
  • Update the public README, portable instructions, and wiki, including two ROOT Mermaid diagrams. The four 4K infographic pages keep their 1.10 media baseline.

Focused checks passed 21 ROOT tests on Python 3.9 and 3.14, plus 35 system runner and 13 workspace tests on Python 3.9. Strict validation covers 259 portable files / 163 Markdown documents. The wheel matches all 259 source files; package first-run checks cover separate root/child records and logged uninstall/restore with 558 observed files preserved byte-for-byte. The complete Python 3.14 suite ran 299 tests in 360.165 seconds: 294 passed, five case-sensitive-filesystem-only tests were skipped, and there were no errors or failures. The Python 3.9 run was a focused set of 69 passing tests (21 ROOT, 35 runner, 13 workspaces), with no skips; it was not a second full-suite run. The full-suite total already includes the ROOT tests and must not be added to the focused counts.

1.10.0-alpha.3 — Four-page 4K system field guide — 2026-10-19

  • Add one complete overview followed by three detailed infographic pages for Agent 0/X/Y/Z and CLI/tool coordination, AGENTA with all ten exact AUTOBOT reference functions, and DATA with named .SYSTEMXP project scopes.
  • Add the complete portable text companion, exact generation/correction prompts, native/export metadata and SHA-256 checksums. The 3840 × 2160 JPEG canvases are resized from 1672 × 941 native imagegen outputs using macOS sips, quality 85. Resizing does not create native detail. Final visual review checks the Alpha/ten-slot distinction, eight DATA folders, real Y/Z record locations, scope isolation, request reuse and task acceptance boundaries.
  • Update the public/portable READMEs, media index and wiki. Fresh distributions retain the current four-page series and the four historical environment cards; the superseded full-system poster stays available through immutable history. Additive updates preserve older local posters and adopted user files.
  • Runtime behavior stays unchanged from alpha.2. Template validation passes 249 portable files / 159 Markdown documents on Python 3.9 and 3.14. Six targeted tests pass per interpreter; the broader 272-method runtime review belongs to alpha.2 below and was not rerun as a full suite for this media patch. Wheel parity covers all 249 portable source files. Fresh install, alpha.2 upgrade, new-page additions, older-poster/DATA/context preservation, and uninstall/restore checks pass.

1.10.0-alpha.2 — Tier 2 AUTOBOT and local DATA — 2026-10-19

  • Add .SYSTEMX/AUTOBOT/ with Agent Alpha's AGENTA.MD and ten exact named specialist files: Design, Soul, Memory, Rules, Research, Brand, Media, Tokens, Data, and Archive. Slot IDs/order/case are fixed; adopted detail stays generic until the owner supplies facts. Soul describes purpose/voice, not consciousness; Tokens describes semantic design tokens rather than provider billing.
  • Add separate optional agent.a setup through autobot init --apply, preserving existing records. X/Y/Z roles-init remains separate; the public registry is Agent 0 only. agent-a aliases autobot.
  • Add explicit selected detail packets and request/completion records with stable fingerprints. Identical completed requests reuse original result/evidence times; changed selected inputs produce new identities and stale historical labels. There are no background bots, model calls, automatic check loops, source fetches, or canonical task acceptance changes.
  • Add root/selected-child DATA scaffolds: TEMP, LARGE, IMPORTS, RESEARCH, ASSETS, EXPORTS, CACHE, ARCHIVE. Exact README/policy scaffolds are tracked while payloads are Git-ignored by default. data init is additive; read-only status/audit reports effective local Git exclusions and tracked payloads without recursively reading/hashing/uploading/moving/deleting their bytes.
  • Keep child panel/storage initialization explicit, with no parent/sibling facts, raw payload inheritance, nested installation, or automatic transport. Updates preserve local detail/payloads; ignore cannot hide tracked/history/force-added data or prevent a whole-folder backup/Drive copy.
  • Enforce the documented 8 MiB request-ledger limit during ordinary optional validation, rather than applying a specialist-document limit to that ledger. Strict public-template validation rejects unexpected DATA paths before JSON/ Markdown content inspection; ordinary adopted use still avoids payload scans.
  • Extend manuals, setup prompts, the format/architecture map, and a live Tier 2 Mermaid diagram. Existing imagegen poster, four cards, frozen paper, and historical application-integration references retained their examined baseline. Those application-specific files are absent from the current generic package.

The earlier annotated v1.10.0-alpha.1 tag names the initial implementation and was not published as a GitHub release. Final template checks passed on Python 3.9 and 3.14 for 244 portable files / 157 Markdown documents. Exact folder ZIP and wheel integrations matched all 244 source files. Scoped root/child requests, completion reuse, an additive alpha.6 upgrade, and uninstall/restore checks retained project-owned payloads, requests, and host files. Manager verification additionally requires complete 1.10 core AUTOBOT/DATA files and strictly blank root/creation-seed request ledgers; rehashed omissions or populated/invalid blank ledgers are refused.

Test evidence covers 272 distinct methods across full and targeted runs, not one final 272-test invocation. Python 3.14 ran a 270-test full suite (265 passes, five filesystem-case skips), followed by alpha.2 AUTOBOT 19 and system runner 35 checks. Python 3.9 ran a 267-test full suite (262 passes, five such skips), followed by final DATA 15, manager 54, alpha.2 AUTOBOT 19, and runner 35 checks. All reported runs passed. The public review report records exact scope and limits; earlier results remain attributed to their examined revision. GitHub Actions remains disabled.

These local/package checks do not establish native Windows/Linux end-to-end, real provider/live PR, cloud transport, host-application acceptance, downstream production readiness, or a new Codex Security plugin scan pass.

1.9.0-alpha.6 — Historical application-integration references — 2026-10-13

This archived release included an application-specific integration reference bundle with contracts, synthetic fixtures, a versioned third-party endpoint inventory, and associated license/fingerprint records. It described host-owned UI, authentication, data, infrastructure, and provider execution rather than activating those services. The bundle is not part of the current generic .SYSTEMX distribution; application/provider code and reference packages belong in the host application.

Core coordination seeds remained blank, existing project files were preserved through ordinary additive imports, and published release identities stay intact. Reviewed source is 7f0d82b7ba8531ac04d897209d8c1ed263ee29cb. The local macOS gate passed 235 tests with five filesystem-specific skips; public validation checked 188 files and 111 Markdown documents. All 188 files in the wheel and folder ZIP matched that source, including 30 application-integration files. Those historical checks establish neither native Windows/Linux support nor actual external-provider acceptance.

The alpha.6 artifacts and checksums retain the exact historical evidence. The folder ZIP/wheel checksum is not the manager's separate codeload tag ZIP pin. Historical assets are not current installation instructions or a recommendation to adopt removed content.

1.9.0-alpha.5 — CLI, tooling, and named project scopes

This release makes the CLI/tool boundaries and shared .SYSTEMXP structure explicit in commands, guides, and the current full-system infographic:

  • The installed CLI adds systemx projects --target OUTER_DIR -- SUBCOMMAND .... It defaults offline; optional --online permits only an eligible configured startup metadata notice. Select --project NAME or --root explicitly for scoped operations. The existing run ... -- projects ... wrapper remains.
  • tools-guide and menu option 18 print the new portable guide. The guide separates installed management CLI, reviewed local launchers, Python API, app/IDE workers, configured project commands, Git/gh, and Agent Y providers.
  • Reviewed shell/PowerShell launchers support an unmanaged folder copy through its own local runner. External manager run/projects requires valid managed selection. Invalid or conflicting installation markers fail closed.
  • The full-system poster shows shared outer tools and the exact child path .SYSTEMX/Projects/Project-A/.SYSTEMXP, with app/IDE workers separate from Agent Y's independently selected external provider. Children own records; there is no nested installation or per-child cache.
  • A new portable MEDIA/Infographics/systemx-cli-projects-4k.jpg and MEDIA/Reference/cli-projects.md add the current map without overwriting an adopted alpha.4 map. The template source keeps one current map; additive updates preserve the earlier installed media. The canonical web PNG stays stable.
  • Guides and current versioned setup references are aligned. Frozen paper/media editions and historical evidence remain attributed to their examined baseline.

The alpha.5 prerelease is published and immutable. The annotated tag peels to reviewed source aba9620ac07c9fe27572fd37ba80df8d1deeded4; main and Alpha1 matched that commit at publication. The tag object is 8576d2f392f1614f3041c9f4cfffd397d1f5b40a.

All four uploaded assets downloaded byte-identically. Published GitHub API asset sizes/digests matched these values; readback confirmed draft=false, prerelease=true, immutable=true. The frozen public review was generated before publication, so its pending-publication note records that earlier generation time, not the final release state.

The complete macOS suites ran 230 tests each on Python 3.14.5 (329.112 seconds) and 3.9.6 (392.225 seconds). Each run had 225 passes and five expected case-sensitive-filesystem skips, with no errors. Actual PowerShell 7.5.5 launcher tests ran successfully on macOS; this is not a native Windows end-to-end result. Template checks passed for 157 portable files, 98 Markdown documents, 156 schema-2 manifest entries, and 12/12 blank record hashes. Root/child task and project seeds remain blank and Agent 0 only.

The exact folder ZIP and wheel each contained all 157 committed portable files with matching bytes. An offline exact-wheel workflow passed lifecycle, separate Project-A/Project-B routing, roles, uninstall/restore, and audit while preserving root/child/custom/host files. The alpha.4-to-alpha.5 upgrade first refused outdated stock bootstraps, then passed an explicit backed-up refresh and additive update. It retained the old installed map and added the new one; selected tools-guide and direct child CLI operations succeeded. The exact public tag passed pinned first-run preview/apply, child operations, guide, and validation, reporting explicit-pin. A wrong digest was rejected before installation.

The new PNG/JPEG map was generated at 1672 × 941 and exported via macOS sips to 3840 × 2160, with portable JPEG quality 80. The JPEG is 1,867,015 bytes, SHA-256 cc09f9cde7aba3bb77c109257a937b031254d599b81479ad96b05909a617e1b1. Resizing adds no native detail; historical paper/cards preserve their examined baseline.

No new Codex Security plugin result, live provider/PR write, native Windows/Linux end-to-end result, or downstream production certification is claimed. See CLI and Tools, Visual Guide, and Code review and readiness.

1.9.0-alpha.4 — Four-role manuals and full-system media

This documentation/media release refreshes the complete-system infographic for Agent 0/X/Y/Z and aligns current-use guides with the optional Agent Y CLI channel:

  • Agent 0 remains canonical task coordinator, integration owner, and acceptance role; app-native workers and task-selected CLI runs share one project budget.
  • Agent Y selects the installed CLI provider per task, pins the local executable, returns an isolated worktree/scoped commit, and may publish an opted-in draft PR. Agent 0 independently runs/cites project checks; X records observed time and Z reviews matching evidence without granting authority.
  • Ready requires accepted done; cancelled close retains unmerged work. Cleanup needs an externally merged PR, accepted task, exact owned head, and verified private bundle. Agent Y has no merge command.
  • The three focused Mermaid diagrams now include the optional Agent Y lane, with matching PNG/SVG exports and text.
  • One current 3840 × 2160 PNG serves the repository/wiki; the portable 4K JPEG and text equivalent travel under .SYSTEMX/MEDIA. The older white-paper edition and four environment cards keep their frozen baseline artwork and labels.
  • Setup/version pins and the wiki now point to the new exact release. Runtime behavior is unchanged from alpha.3; historical test evidence stays attributed to its reviewed source rather than being presented as a new full-suite run.

The alpha.4 prerelease is published and marked immutable. The annotated tag peels to reviewed source 191dba6d18c130ac7ebc74a8e765542c08598917; main and Alpha1 matched that commit at publication. The tag object is 8c2f7ffabee19abdf62060fb03c5e664a3b4afe8.

The four downloaded assets matched the uploaded bytes; GitHub’s published asset digests and sizes matched those values. The public review JSON was frozen before release publication, so its pending-publication note records generation time; subsequent GitHub API readback verified the published immutable prerelease.

Template validation passed on Python 3.14.5 and 3.9.6, covering 156 portable files, 97 Markdown documents, 155 schema-2 manifest entries, and 12/12 blank seed hashes. Root/child task and project records remain blank, with only Agent 0 seeded. The final focused Python 3.14 suites passed 31 runner tests and 48 manager tests, zero failures. The independent repository documentation audit covered 106 Markdown files, 655 local references, and 144 heading fragments, with no broken local references. External URLs were not exhaustively validated.

The ZIP and wheel each contained all 156 portable files matching committed source bytes. A fresh exact-wheel installation in an offline Python 3.14 venv passed first-run preview/apply, validation, status, uninstall preview/apply, restore preview/apply, and audit while preserving user/host files. A digest-pinned public codeload preview/install passed and reported explicit-pin; an incorrect digest was rejected before .SYSTEMX creation. The alpha.3-to-alpha.4 additive upgrade passed preview/apply/validation/audit without bootstrap refresh. It added the new graphic and retained prior user context, custom files, media, and host bytes.

The updated full-system poster was generated at 1672 × 941 and exported via macOS sips to 3840 × 2160, with quality-90 portable JPEG. Upscaling adds no native detail. Three Mermaid/source/SVG/PNG diagram sets were rendered and visually checked. All eight frozen baseline artifacts matched alpha.3 byte for byte, including the four older cards and paper/metadata/erratum.

The 223-test full-suite results belong to alpha.3 and were not repeated for this documentation/media release. No new security-plugin scan is claimed; the prior Deep Scan could not start without a managed filesystem permission profile. Native Linux/Windows runtime suites, live provider/PR writes, and downstream project production readiness remain unverified. Host-account, executable interpreter/dependency, and external-provider access boundaries are unchanged. See Code review and readiness and Agent Y.

1.9.0-alpha.3 — Distribution and coordination hardening

This release retains the Agent 0/X/Y/Z format and the optional Agent Y CLI/PR channel. It closes defects found during a template and production-boundary sweep:

  • Distribution manifest schema 2 hashes binary media and unknown file types by their exact bytes. Only reviewed UTF-8 text formats tolerate CRLF/LF checkout differences. The manager continues to read historical schema-1 snapshots, while alpha.3 and later distributions must use schema 2.
  • A 1.9 distribution missing the Agent Y core files is rejected even if its remaining manifest is self-consistent. A trusted external manager also refuses run against an unmanaged target before running that target's Python; inspect unfamiliar checkouts with audit or an install preview first.
  • Agent X refuses a completed/cancelled schedule closure more than five minutes ahead of the validating machine's UTC clock. A future planned due time remains valid; existing closed records receive the same validation.
  • Agent Y merged-PR cleanup checks ignored as well as tracked/untracked worktree files, preserving local caches and outputs. It refuses PR readiness if the remote base SHA moved from the prepared handoff. Git-backed .SYSTEMX state must keep local Agent Y sidecars and archives ignored and untracked.
  • Agent Y binds the selected CLI executable's canonical absolute path, SHA-256, and file identity at preparation, then checks it before launch. An older unrun handoff without that binding cannot execute; agent-y abandon retires a genuinely unrun prepared job so Agent 0 can reprepare it. Already-run older jobs remain readable for their gated PR lifecycle.
  • Public documentation now labels the original template provenance as private, adds Windows first-run examples, and links a separate erratum for a broken release-report citation in the frozen white-paper edition 1.2. The paper PDF and media bytes remain unchanged.

The external provider still runs with its host account's access; Agent Y's allowed paths and PR rules do not form an OS sandbox. Use a separate OS identity or container without controller credentials and .SYSTEMX write access when a provider or prompt is untrusted. Remote code selection without an independently obtained --archive-sha256 remains an observed-only trust decision. Startup notices do not select code. The source-level review and local checks do not certify a downstream project's live stack or provider behavior. The requested Codex Security Deep Scan could not start because this host lacked its managed filesystem permission profile; no plugin-scan result is claimed. The separate manual review is identified as such in Code review and readiness.

The v1.9.0-alpha.3 annotated tag peels to source commit d43eab15397329512069f1e606eb4626d9a480d0. The manager's exact raw GitHub codeload tag ZIP SHA-256 is 9776e99c6b1da3c0c0bb7754865f4c2a9489adcc96a1b0112bef9718fa1f0c87; use it with --version 1.9.0-alpha.3 --archive-sha256 after verifying the digest through a channel you trust. This raw codeload ZIP is a different byte stream from the separately built folder-only release archive.

The GitHub prerelease is published and marked immutable. All four downloaded assets matched the uploaded bytes and their published SHA-256 digests; SHA256SUMS includes the release assets and separately labels the raw codeload digest. A checksum fetched from the same source is not independent publisher authentication.

The reviewed macOS source passed 223 tests on Python 3.14.5 and 223 on Python 3.9.6, with zero failures and five expected case-sensitive-filesystem skips in each run. Template validation covered 154 portable files, 153 schema-2 manifest entries, 96 Markdown documents, and 12/12 blank-record hashes. The folder ZIP and wheel each contained all 154 source files byte for byte with no unexpected portable files. Ten local media-publication security tests passed. A disposable exact-wheel first run, offline validation, uninstall, restore, and audit preserved user files. A published alpha.2 to alpha.3 upgrade required one backed-up stock-manager bootstrap refresh, then preserved user and host files while retaining both release schemas. The exact public codeload ZIP installed in a disposable project with the independently specified digest; a wrong digest was refused before installation. Native Linux/Windows runtime suites, real provider execution, and live Agent Y PR writes were not tested end to end. The separate Codex Security plugin scan did not start, as stated above.

1.9.0-alpha.2 — Agent Y CLI channels

This release adds optional agent.y CLI-channel records and commands for one existing task at a time. Agent 0 chooses an installed Codex, Copilot, or configured CLI per task and owns the canonical ledger and acceptance. Agent Y uses an isolated Git worktree, bounded allowed paths, and an opt-in draft GitHub PR after a zero CLI exit and scoped controller commit. Agent X records observed time/events and Agent Z reviews evidence. A draft PR, ready transition, external merge, cancelled close, and verified merged-branch cleanup are separate steps; Agent Y does not merge. See Agent Y.

The corrected alpha.2 source was checked on macOS with 205 tests on Python 3.14.5 and 205 on Python 3.9.6, with zero failures and five case-sensitive-filesystem skips in each run. A disposable wheel install, uninstall, and restore roundtrip preserved custom user data and passed clean audits. A digest-pinned remote first-run preview and apply passed in a disposable project, while an incorrect digest was rejected before install. These results do not certify an adopted project or a live provider/GitHub integration. Real Codex/Copilot execution and GitHub write paths were not tested end to end for this alpha. A partially successful push or PR action requires manual reconciliation. Native Windows Agent Y run --apply refuses before provider/worktree mutation because descendant process termination is not yet verified; core record and installer workflows remain separate.

The v1.9.0-alpha.2 tag names reviewed source commit 764af8df6fd5bb960776dc09567ebb00ef602bdc. The manager's raw GitHub codeload tag ZIP SHA-256 is 6e13b1f004744dffa9ee09f2bb43d3d74250c1e5817bc5c968c861c34ba9c8d0; use it with --version 1.9.0-alpha.2 --archive-sha256 after verifying the digest through a channel you trust. It is distinct from the folder-only ZIP. The GitHub prerelease is published, marked immutable, and the four downloaded assets matched the uploaded copies byte for byte. Its SHA256SUMS verifies the asset files. The GitHub release is a prerelease, not a production certification.

1.8.9-alpha.1 — Template records and local safety

Downloads and evidence for 1.8.9

The 1.8.9-alpha.1 immutable prerelease provides the exact folder archive, wheel, checksums, and public review record. Check the artifact and digest before installing. A SHA256SUMS entry for a separately built release asset is not the SHA-256 of the GitHub codeload tag ZIP fetched by the managed remote installer; see installation and updates.

The manager's raw codeload tag ZIP SHA-256 is db352a37972489fff6590103f0535721ec570cce2f3c2ec668ffbd66081f6e98. The annotated tag peels to f28c172496e28692d42024d1abdff9ece38ff02e; main and Alpha1 matched that commit at publication.

Local macOS checks passed: 182 tests on Python 3.9.6 and 182 on Python 3.14.5, with five case-sensitive-filesystem skips on each; template validation covered 148 portable files and 92 Markdown documents. Ten media-publication tests passed. The ZIP and wheel each matched all 148 source files byte for byte. Disposable wheel install, offline validation, uninstall/restore, and a real 1.8.8-to-1.8.9 upgrade preserved custom project files. An exact remote install accepted the pinned raw digest and rejected a wrong digest before installation. One live opt-in startup notice check against this published release returned success in 0.594 seconds, retained the selected 1.8.9 defaults, and wrote its metadata cache; it is one observation, not a network-latency guarantee.

The attached review record was prepared before release publication, so its publication.status says release pending. The live release is now published and marked immutable. Native Linux and Windows runtime tests were not run for this release. The requested Codex Security Deep Scan did not start because the host lacked that tool's managed filesystem permission profile; no plugin scan result is claimed. Template checks do not certify an adopted project for production.

Changes in 1.8.9-alpha.1

This release adds blank, project-owned GLOBAL/ACCESS-MATRIX.md and PLAN/MAP.md to the outer template and new .SYSTEMXP child seeds. The Access Matrix records reviewed actor/resource/action decisions and gaps; the System MAP points to real source locations, interfaces, data flows, and boundaries. Neither grants host or cloud access, discovers a live system, nor duplicates the canonical task ledger and focus. An update preserves existing project-owned files.

The manager rejects empty explicit targets or --source values and requires bounded regular files for distribution inputs, installation state, operation logs, and restore receipts. The advisory startup metadata check waits at most five seconds before the local runner continues with installed defaults. A timed-out metadata request may still finish on its daemon thread, but it cannot select or download a release. Optional publication tools tighten HTTPS link validation and output-path handling. The existing white paper and media assets are unchanged. The public README now starts with a shorter, preview-first setup path and links to this manual for the full procedure.

As verified on 2026-10-07, the upstream repository has GitHub secret scanning, secret-scanning push protection, and Dependabot vulnerability alerts enabled. Automated Dependabot security updates and GitHub Actions are disabled. An active ruleset protects main and Alpha1 against deletion and non-fast-forward pushes. It does not require pull requests, reviews, or CI, and these settings do not transfer automatically to projects created from the template. See Security and support.

1.8.8-alpha.1 — Check-only startup release notices

This release changes the opt-in on-start policy from automatic selection to an availability notice. A startup check reads published release metadata at most once per 24 hours after a successful check and reports a newer release. It does not download the archive or alter the selected version, pin, release cache, or project-owned records. A pinned project can enable notices. An exact update remains a separate manual action and can use an independently obtained --archive-sha256 for the codeload tag ZIP before parsing it.

An ordinary update preserves an older root manager and launcher. They may retain the earlier automatic startup-selection behavior. Before enabling check-only notices on an existing installation, use a reviewed new external manager to preview and explicitly apply a backed-up bootstrap-refresh, then select the new release. Keep --auto manual while migrating. See installation and updates.

Local source checks passed: 175 template tests on Python 3.9.6 and 3.14.5, with five filesystem-dependent skips on each; 143 portable files and 87 Markdown documents validated. The folder ZIP SHA-256 is 48fdffe4d603916776489ecf8b64e5213d59b205ea750ea8270d357d73f5ddc2; the wheel SHA-256 is 5222ca4f94550f357601218a44b27b130da340341357f38a34a892122b3990d6. These values match the attached SHA256SUMS and GitHub's asset digests. The release is immutable. The attached review was generated before publication, so its publication.status and immutableReleaseReadback fields still describe that earlier stage. Its disposable wheel and digest-pinned remote install checks passed; a live opt-in availability check met a GitHub API rate limit and left the verified installed defaults intact. Native Windows/Linux installation and exhaustive passive PDF/image review remain open.

Earlier release verification — 1.8.1-alpha.1

Release 1.8.1-alpha.1 documented the Agent X/Z workflow, complete-project execution, and shared-source coordination, with updated public diagrams and portable guides. See the attached verification report for completed documentation, package, and platform checks. A passing review is not a downstream production certification.

That patch updated the complete-project and shared-workspace manual and portable guides. Runtime behavior and record schemas remain those introduced in 1.8.0-alpha.1. The 1.8.1 report identifies its exact commit and completed checks; the readiness page retains the prior runtime review and its evidence.

Historical verification recorded source 7fd3823, with successful main CI run 37235013883 and Alpha1 CI run 37235013536, covering all six platform jobs (Windows, macOS, and Linux; Python 3.9 and 3.13). The original Actions run logs are no longer publicly available; these identifiers are retained as historical references. The local 143-test suite passed with five filesystem-dependent skips. Documentation checks covered 44 wiki Markdown files (42 content pages plus sidebar/footer), 86 repository Markdown files, 793 local/wiki links and anchors, 124 distinct shell examples parsed against the current commands, and all ten embedded Mermaid diagrams. Three current infographic assets were rendered and visually inspected. Packaged upgrade, customized-policy preservation, child isolation, replay reuse, and reversible uninstall/restore checks passed.

After publication, all 44 wiki Markdown files, the README, three current PNG infographics, and four release assets were downloaded without authentication and matched the reviewed files. Release checksums passed. The public wheel installed successfully in an isolated environment, installed the exact public template version with both new portable guides, and passed role activation, structural validation, and the 100-question policy check. The verification package and CLI were then removed from that temporary environment.

Full-system artwork update — 2026-10-04

Added the complete-system infographic to the README, manual home, and visual guide, with a reference from the one-shot guide. It covers standard record locations, Agent 0/X/Z, numeric workers, task views, event and review logs, the toolchain, child projects, and setup/recovery. The native imagegen master is 1672 × 941; a separate 3840 × 2160 upscaled PNG is available with its source retained. The exact prompts and a full text equivalent are in the repository. This documentation/artwork commit follows the 1.8.1 release; the pinned template, runtime, release tag, and published release assets are unchanged.

New installs are pinned/manual. Older managers need the external tool upgrade before they can parse alpha IDs; follow alpha migration. Release history belongs here; the README shows the current maturity and adoption entry points, while the portable folder includes an offline changelog.

Branch consolidation

At Alpha1 publication, these earlier branch tips were already ancestors of main and are included in Alpha1. Their commits and changes remain preserved. On 2026-09-28, the redundant feature-branch references were removed after verifying ancestry, no open pull requests, and no attached worktrees. Only main and Alpha1 remain on GitHub and locally; release tags are unchanged.

main remains the default branch, and Alpha1 is kept in sync with it. Documentation-only commits can advance these branches after a release; the exact tag remains the repeatable reference for that published template snapshot.

1.8.7-alpha.1 — Release integrity and coordination

  • The manager refuses a selected release cache containing unlisted Python code, links, files, or directories, even when every manifest-listed file matches. Interrupted partial snapshots can still be retried; the manager does not delete or replace project-owned files.
  • Fresh installs refuse conflicting preexisting executable defaults. Existing managed installs can preview and explicitly refresh eight recognized stock root bootstrap/launcher files with byte-for-byte backups; update blocks until an old root bootstrap is compatible. Refreshed wrappers invoke Python with -I -B.
  • Direct manager, runner, and release scripts enter -I before imports; named local helpers load from source bytes to block unlisted modules and substituted .pyc files. The installed console command restarts isolated after an initial package import; a reviewed virtual environment's python -I -B -m systemx isolates from the first import. Library imports inherit the host Python trust environment.
  • A genuinely absent historical stock file, such as versions.py in v1.5.0, can be added if no retained release ever contained it; only replacements need backups.
  • The current manager installs and newly selects releases 1.8.7-alpha.1 or newer. It can run an already selected verified older snapshot through an isolated compatibility shim during migration. The historical runner keeps its old behavior; older reselection needs separately reviewed recovery.
  • An exact remote install, update, or first-run can use --version VERSION --archive-sha256 DIGEST to check the raw codeload ZIP before parsing it. INSTALLATION.json retains explicit-pin or observed-only digest provenance; older receipts cannot prove a past pin. Opted-in automatic startup discovery has no independent archive pin.
  • Agent X rejects future occurrence times for non-planned events, including when reading an existing event ledger. Timestamp spelling is consistent on the supported Python versions.
  • Coordination locks record process, host, and creation time and allow a short local wait. A stale lock requires human inspection; it is never silently removed after a crash.
  • The default Agent Z policy moves to 1.1.0. It asks for independent corroboration of decisive claims and evidence that decisive checks can fail. Comparisons reject reversed report time and evidence-stage regressions. Equal timestamps on distinct reports return order-unverified; any per-question applicability change is labeled scope-changed when ordering is verified.
  • GitHub Actions is disabled and the workflow removed. Maintainers run and retain local validation/release evidence. Immutable GitHub releases protect subsequently published releases, not historical tags retroactively.
  • Optional publication tools isolate imports, allow only HTTPS/internal PDF links, reject linked figure roots, and anchor output replacement to an opened POSIX directory. Text outputs do not follow final links or overwrite their hardlinked sources. Existing published PDF editions cannot be rebuilt in place; use a separate draft output.

See release policy, installation, Agent X, and Agent Z for exact behavior and limits.

1.8.6-alpha.1 - Organized media library

  • Moved the latest paper into MEDIA/White-Paper, four 4K JPEGs into MEDIA/Infographics, and guides/provenance into MEDIA/Reference.
  • Removed superseded papers and duplicate PNGs from the active tree and packages. The previous release media preserves them.
  • Updated galleries, current download links, publication tooling and wheel data. The existing clickable PDF and 4K images are preserved byte for byte.
  • Kept additive updates: existing users' files, including old media paths, remain untouched. The selected release snapshot and fresh installs use the new layout.

1.8.5-alpha.1 - Illustrated MLA-style research publication

  • Added edition 1.2: 96 pages, full implementation text, six numbered figures, a linked atlas, 32 Works Cited entries and professional public branding.
  • Added the author/portfolio, company/business, repository and wiki links to the PDF, with clickable contents, citations, figure destinations and footer navigation.
  • Added a reusable publication configuration and a documented MLA adaptation.
  • Preserved earlier editions, all 100 policy questions, exact code examples and blank template records. Runtime behavior and schemas are unchanged.

1.8.4-alpha.1 - Expanded white paper and audio companion

Archived edition 1.1 PDF · Edition 1.1 synthetic audio · Audio transcript

  • Added edition 1.1 as a 50-page implementation reference with 29 chapters, exact record contracts, the complete 100-question policy, command families, source inventory, coordination mechanics and recovery boundaries.
  • Added an executable disposable walkthrough that verifies failed/corrected checks, state transitions, stable event replay, review deltas and acceptance.
  • Retained edition 1.0 unchanged; added numbered PDF contents and a separate synthetic audio companion in the release, outside the portable file bundle.
  • Updated public README/wiki discovery and package inventory. Runtime behavior and record schemas are unchanged.

1.8.3-alpha.1 — Public white paper

  • Added a 17-page white paper and editable Markdown in .SYSTEMX/MEDIA, with document provenance, raw-byte checksums and a repository PDF builder.
  • Described architecture, Agent 0/X/Z, scoring, project isolation, execution environments, additive lifecycle, efficiency hypotheses and an evaluation method.
  • Included a worked web-app plan, an adoption prompt, pinned implementation references and external primary sources; distinguished implemented features, illustrative examples and future directions.
  • Added public README/wiki discovery and included the paper in folder/wheel distributions. Runtime behavior and record schemas are unchanged.

1.8.2-alpha.1 — Portable use-case media library

  • Added .SYSTEMX/MEDIA with four standalone cards for ChatGPT + Google Drive, Codex + GitHub/main, Dots / Codex Cloud, and Codex / Copilot CLI + local drive.
  • Retained native imagegen PNGs and added separate 3840 × 2160 JPEG exports, accessible text guides, exact prompts, dimensions and raw-byte checksums.
  • Added README/wiki galleries and explicit access, execution, acceptance and persistence boundaries for each workflow and Agent 0/X/Z.
  • Included all media in the portable inventory and Python wheel. File sizes stay within existing installer limits; updates still preserve user-owned files.
  • No runtime, task/review schema, scheduler or update-policy behavior change.

1.8.1-alpha.1 — Complete-project and shared-workspace manual

  • Added a deep-research-to-completion guide with a 20-page web app matrix, toolchain mapping, phases/milestones/tasks/waves, and reusable super prompts.
  • Added repository/portfolio/hybrid, Drive, cloud snapshot, multi-chat, bot, physical-machine, and VM patterns with explicit record authority and persistence.
  • Updated the public README, portable entry instructions, manual navigation, Agent 0/X/Z feedback explanations, and current editable infographics.
  • Corrected the command reference's unpinned alpha discovery description and documented all existing menu guide entries and transport boundaries.
  • No runtime behavior, project-record schema, or adopted review-policy change. Existing project files and selected pins remain preserved.

1.8.0-alpha.1 — Agent X and Agent Z

  • Added explicit standard-role activation with preserved registries and setup receipts.
  • Added Agent X event/time tracking, stable retry keys, bounded event views, due-item bookkeeping, and clear external-scheduler boundaries.
  • Added Agent Z's fixed 100-question/10-category policy, evidence-backed answer records, advisory scorecards, frozen policy versions, and comparable deltas.
  • Reused unchanged review inputs; kept task acceptance and execution with the coordinator/user rather than automatic score-driven work loops.
  • Hardened workspace argument selection, malformed/ambiguous JSON handling, root record link boundaries, and child-configuration error reporting.
  • Removed repeated sibling-directory scans from child record guards and exported the documented run library entry point.
  • Added regression checks and updated public guides, upgrade/rollback boundaries, and generic activation templates. No scheduler, cloud service, or agent runtime is installed; public work/event/review histories remain empty.

Read Agent X, Agent Z, and the 100 questions. The original runtime release remains v1.8.0-alpha.1 at source 82324bb, with recorded successful main CI run 37232779154 and Alpha1 CI run 37232778862. The original Actions run logs are no longer publicly available; these identifiers are retained as historical references. Its published artifacts and verification report remain unchanged.

1.7.0-alpha.1 — SYSTEMX PROJECTS

  • Added generic Projects/NAME/.SYSTEMXP child records with a blank project registry, per-project context/plan/tasks/focus, sources, decisions, and Agent 0 memory.
  • Added preview-first creation receipts, explicit scope selection, scoped task and agent commands, local status snapshots, and project working-directory execution.
  • Reused ledger validation and acceptance rules while keeping root and siblings isolated; rejected case conflicts, linked records, and nested installations.
  • Added a library routing function and selected-project chat export.
  • Preserved child records/code through shared version updates and reversible uninstall/restore; documented explicit migration of custom registries.
  • Expanded README, portable guides, and wiki with generic setup and subagent examples. The public template still ships no adopted projects or private project history.

See SYSTEMX PROJECTS for the full manual and migration boundaries.

  • Added Mermaid record trees, information-flow and delegation diagrams, a subagent sequence, and a worked feature-dependency graph with text equivalents.
  • Added Visual Guide, Subagent Processing, and Advanced Use Cases chapters and linked them from the homepage, manual index, sidebar, and relevant guides.
  • Covered scoped execution, result processing, shared-resource ownership, interrupted jobs, research, incidents, migrations, Drive/chat handoffs, and cross-project coordination limits.

This is a documentation and artwork update. The portable .SYSTEMX files, blank seeds, runtime behavior, version, release tag, and release assets are unchanged.

Manual and homepage update — 2026-10-04

  • Added the founder's origin story, DOT SYSTEMX name, and relationship to the larger Firebase/Google Cloud template on the README and About page.
  • Reorganized the wiki as a manual: setup, daily use, prompts, coordination, long-running work, efficiency, and advanced operations.
  • Added Daily Workflow, Prompt Cookbook, and Anti-Drift and Long-Running Work.
  • Expanded harness discovery, task-to-worker routing, logging, review, and recovery guidance. Explained the prompt-requested ceiling of ten subagents.
  • Clarified the 10,000+ event continuity ambition, current file-based scaling limits, and measurement of token/time/cost outcomes.

This is a documentation update. The tool, portable template, package version, release tag, and published release assets remain 1.6.0-alpha.1. New manual examples explain existing features; no runtime worker default or scheduler was added.

Release changes

  • Consolidated all existing template branches into Alpha1, retaining main as the default public branch and preserving branch history.
  • Declared alpha maturity, use-at-own-risk status, and possible daily changes across public entry points; immutable release IDs distinguish reviewed snapshots.
  • Added strict alpha IDs, numeric prerelease ordering, stable-channel isolation, alpha discovery, final-release graduation, and implicit-downgrade refusal.
  • Added systemx --version, selected release-channel reporting, Python alpha package metadata, and documented migration from pre-alpha managers.
  • Added discoverable licensing, contribution/support/security reporting paths, bug-report templates, and release/compatibility guidance for public adopters.
  • Kept pins/manual updates by default, additive preservation, operation receipts, exact casing, reversible removal, and blank reusable project records.

1.5.0

  • Added honest token/cost/time guidance, a measurement approach, and new Technical, Stack, About, First-Time Setup, and Uninstall guides.
  • Added preview-first first-run with explicit apply, empty configuration seeding, preservation of existing settings, and clear remaining setup steps.
  • Added local install/update/policy/alias/first-run operation receipts and an offline audit of the selected project's installation footprint.
  • Added reversible uninstall to a new external same-filesystem backup, including user records, file inventories, raw-byte hashes, alias handling, and an external log.
  • Added verified restore with conflict refusal and failure/recovery receipts; package removal and manual integrations have separate logged cleanup instructions.
  • Kept updates additive, new installs pinned/manual, reusable records blank, exact-case path guards active, and all existing host files protected.

1.4.0

  • Standardized the public name and canonical folder spelling as .SYSTEMX.
  • Added shared exact-case guards for installers, updates, library calls, local sources, remote archives, and direct project commands, including mixed-case conflicts.
  • Added an opt-in relative .systemx -> .SYSTEMX alias through setup, CLI, menu, and library. Case-insensitive filesystems need no extra directory entry.
  • Added path diagnostics, conflict recovery guidance, explicit LLM and chat naming rules, and portable alias checks across Linux, macOS, and Windows.
  • Preserved all project records, version pins, earlier snapshots, root defaults, and the compatible nested manager cache. No case-conflict data is merged or deleted.

1.3.0

  • Added setup profiles for project roots/VS Code, OS directories, local Google Drive folders, and LLM chats, using one canonical template and record format.
  • Added a Python library and CLI, Bash and PowerShell installation entry points, exact version selection, per-project pins, and manual updates by default.
  • Added immutable default snapshots and an additive updater that preserves all existing project files, directories, and prior releases, including upstream removals.
  • Added opt-in startup updates with an offline override and manual major-version changes; no background OS scheduler or automatic user-record migration.
  • Added a fingerprinted distribution inventory, local writer locking, state history, dry-run planning, and local chat packet export without uploads.

1.2.0

  • Added a compact focus record and generated CURRENT.md, linked to existing task state and optional dated checkpoints. Focus changes preserve task history.
  • Added advisory dependency-ready task selection and bounded worker packets with explicit source-revision provenance and selected-owner memory.
  • Prioritized focus tasks in resume context; retained bounded loading and independent historical checkpoints.
  • Added evidence categories, compact worker reports, live-job ownership and changed-condition retry guidance, and a record-preserving upgrade guide.
  • Applied reusable lessons from existing SYSTEMX deployments without importing their project records, provider configuration, domain rules, or agent runtime.
  • Added a canonical format contract and validate --template for blank public distributions, including seed fingerprints and an explicit file inventory.
  • Replaced source-specific component restrictions with the public distribution inventory; adopted projects can add their own linked supporting documents.
  • Standardized task-note terminology and instruction-precedence guidance; aligned the optional message schema with its documented evidence requirements.
  • Enforced chronological history and consistent current fields, and replaced recursive dependency traversal so long task chains remain valid.

1.1.0

  • Added an LLM start/resume entry point, global project context, master plan, shared project memory, and session checkpoint templates.
  • Added Agent 0 coordination, a worker registry, and per-agent memory files.
  • Added one canonical task ledger with generated TODO, WORKING-ON, BLOCKED, REVIEW, DONE, and CANCELLED pages.
  • Added work/status/context commands, dependency and acceptance checks, transition history, and guarded local writes.
  • Kept all project records empty in the reusable template. Role registration does not start agent processes, and context loading does not sync global memory.

1.0.0

  • Extracted a standalone operations standard from the upstream .SYSTEMX folder.
  • Consolidated overlapping setup and instruction packets into one standard, one setup guide, and reusable project templates.
  • Removed the local builder, asset collections, embedded application starter, provider-specific provisioning, automatic Git hooks, and historical project state.
  • Added explicit project command configuration, a portable launcher, local validation, and regression checks. No app or cloud provider is preconfigured.
  • Retained the upstream MIT notice and recorded the exact source revision in SOURCE.json.

This version belongs to the operations template. Downstream products own their application versions and release histories separately.
