PortShelf 1.0.0
PortShelf is a native macOS menu-bar utility for developers. It scans local TCP listening ports, maps them to process/project metadata, and provides safe local actions.
Highlights
- Menu-bar listener UI with search, manual refresh, grouping, row expansion, and status/risk indicators.
- Local TCP listener scanning via macOS system tools.
- Process metadata enrichment, project root detection, framework/tool inference, URL generation, and redacted diagnostics.
- Safe open/copy/reveal/open-in-editor actions.
- Confirmation-first process termination with SIGTERM before optional force kill.
- Bulk selection and termination.
- Native settings window for refresh interval, login item, editor preference, notifications, system process visibility, and common dev ports.
- Optional local notifications for new or changed listeners on common dev ports.
- No backend, telemetry, sudo, privileged helper, packet inspection, Docker control, Kubernetes control, or terminal automation.

Note
This local build is signed to run locally but is not notarized because no Developer ID signing identity is installed on the build machine. macOS may show the usual warning for non-notarized direct-distribution apps.
