Workouts

Every way of training saves the same kind of workout, so your history, graphs and progressions see all of them.

Single exercise

Start one exercise from Train › Quick start. For reps, the app can count out loud with the count sound. For holds, it times each set. Between sets it counts down your rest.

In auto mode a set ends by itself when it reaches its target, in single exercises and programs alike. To end a set earlier, tap Complete: the set pauses and the app asks for the value to save, as it does in manual mode. Cancel to carry on with the set.

Programs

A program is a list of exercises with their sets, run in order. Create one in Library › Programs. While it runs, the overview lets you jump to another exercise, redo a set or skip one.

You can save a program part-way through and finish it later. Only one workout can be saved at a time.

Interval routines

Timed rounds of work and rest, for example 30 seconds on and 15 seconds off. Create them in Library › Interval.

To Do

The To Do list holds what you plan to train: exercises, groups, programs and interval routines. Add items with + in Library › To Do; Today shows what is due. Each item's ⋮ menu sets the days it repeats on, or deletes it, and swiping it away deletes it too.

Log a past workout

Train › Log a past workout records sets you already did, with their date and time. Use "Add another exercise" to put several exercises into one workout.

Correct a saved workout

In Progress › List, a workout's ⋮ menu › Edit opens the whole workout. You can change its date, time and comment, change any set, add or remove sets, and add or remove exercises. Nothing changes until you tap Save, and then everything is saved at once. If you remove every set, saving deletes the workout after you confirm.

Graphs, bests and progressions follow the corrected workout. Tapping a single set in the list still changes just that set's value.

If the app is closed during a workout

Timers keep running in a notification. It shows where you are: the exercise or routine, the set or round, the reps counted against your goal, and the time left of a rest, a hold or a countdown, with a bar for how much of the workout is done. It updates quietly in place, without new alerts. If the app is stopped anyway, Today offers to continue where you left off.

Sounds and vibration

Settings has the sound options for counting and rests, and "Vibrate when a set is done".
