First public preview of the AwowLab Overlay - a lightweight, always-on-top damage meter for World of Warcraft that reads your combat log as the game writes it. No addon, no in-game overhead, no network access - it reads the log file and draws, nothing else.
This is an early release and still under active development, so expect rough edges and changes between versions.
Getting started
- Download
AwowLabOverlay.exebelow - a single self-contained file, nothing to install - In WoW, enable
System -> Network -> Advanced Combat Logging - Start logging with
/combatlog(or an addon that toggles it for you)
The overlay finds your Logs folder automatically, comes up in your WoW client language, and stays on top of the game window. Position and settings persist between sessions.
Highlights
- Live DPS / HPS / damage-taken meters
- Pull history - flip back through earlier pulls mid-fight
- Current pull, dungeon, or session views
- Death recap and per-spell player breakdowns
- Enemy damage - click a boss or add for its own ability breakdown
- Avoidable-damage view
- Mob weighting - down-weight unimportant adds so the meter shows real progress
- Boss phase splits you can set up right in the overlay
- Class-colored bars
- Speaks your language - matches the WoW client automatically (English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian; Korean and Chinese clients currently see English)
Requirements
Windows 10/11 (64-bit) and a Vulkan-capable GPU.
Full source code is in this repository under AGPL-3.0. The overlay is the standalone companion to AwowLab, the full combat log replayer and analysis tool.
