Following on from the Using the create-block tool tutorial, this tutorial will guide the new block developer on the process of converting a PHP shortcode into a block.
Due to time limit constraints, this tutorial covers the most basic aspects of this process and will be followed up by supplementary tutorials on:
- Styling a block
- Adding and Using attributes to allow user input
- Making your block translation ready
- and more
Therefore, those topics are not covered in this tutorial.
