Site breaks after updating to v3.0.1

Hi, I'm fairly new to GitHub so apologies if this isn't the right format.

I've been using SQLite Database Integration as an alternative to MySQL (my hosting quota ran out) and it's worked great until recently. After updating to version 3.0.0 my site stopped working, so I rolled back to 2.2.23. Today I tried 3.0.1, but the site still breaks.

Environment:
WordPress version: 7.1
PHP version: 8.2.33
Plugin version: 3.0.1 (also tested 2.2.23, which works)

What happens: i get an empty screen, see attachment

Does anyone know what's changed between 2.2.23 and 3.x that could cause this, and how to fix it? Happy to share error logs or more details if that helps.
