Summary

Add a numeric field titled Number of venues under the Venue section in the event tracker.

If feasible, this field should only appear and be required when the event is set as a Campus Connect event.

Problem

Campus Connect events may take place across multiple venues, but the current event tracker does not include a dedicated field to capture the number of venues involved. This creates a gap in event data collection and reporting.

Proposed Solution

Add a numeric value field called Number of venues in the event tracker under the Venue section.

Preferred behavior

  • Show this field only when the event tracker is set to a Campus Connect event
  • Make the field required when the event is set to a Campus Connect event

Minimum acceptable behavior

  • Add the Number of venues field under Venue even if conditional display/required logic is not currently possible

Expected Behavior

When creating or editing a Campus Connect event:

  • organizers/admins can enter a numeric value for Number of venues
  • the field is required for Campus Connect events
  • ideally, the field is hidden for non-Campus Connect event types

Notes

  • The field should accept numeric values only
  • Confirm whether the field should allow only whole numbers
  • Confirm whether a minimum value of 1 should be enforced
  • If conditional logic is supported, tie visibility and validation to the Campus Connect event type
