X1ndy02/README.md

Hi, I’m Michael

I’m currently working in IT support in Australia while studying IT. A big part of my learning happens outside of work, where I build and experiment with my own infrastructure lab.

I started the Raspberry Pi home lab to a while ago just so I can understand and speedrun me learning curve on how systems actually behave in real-world conditions. I didint really wanted to install something and thats it , i wanetd to know what happens when a database crashes, when disk space fills up, when power drops, or when monitoring thresholds are triggered.

In the lab I run containerised services, monitoring, automated backups, and UPS-based shutdown logic. I test things, break them on purpose, and document what I learn (Baiscally i Maxed out the Pi5 and now testing its limit )

My longer-term goal is to move from general IT support into cloud and infrastructure engineering. I’m working towards Azure certifications while continuing to build hands-on projects that prove I understand system behaviour, reliability, and recovery.

This GitHub is just the a record of that process.
