Screencast with xdg-desktop-portal-gnome problem

Hi.
I saw some people also had this problem with setting up xdg-desktop-portal-gnome for screencasting. And here i am that couldn't fix it myself.

I have xdg-desktop-portal-gnome and gnome-shell installed and they're both working, but still when i try to screencast and check if screencast integrity is done through "busctl --user tree org.freedesktop.portal.Desktop | grep -i ScreenCast" it return no output. But when i use wlr everything works fine.
I want to figure out how to configure portal-gnome cause the devs are recommending it and use it in the setup showkey on their wiki.

I'll drop here some screenshots from config files that i use currently.

This is environment block from niri config file.

This is from niri-portals.conf . Yes, currently there is figuring wlr, but when i tried to make portal-gnome work there was gnome.

If you'll need more outputs to help me just ask, i'll send it.

I don't know if this applies to you but once I started to use the https://github.com/NVIDIA/egl-wayland2 library I had to set this in ~/.config/xdg-desktop-portal:

[preferred]
default=gnome;gtk;

When I only had gtk defined there, screencast sources never showed up. With the default egl-wayland library it worked without needing to define gnome. That is the only line I have in my config.

Have it installed. I also did as you wrote, but it still haven't made screencast work with gnome.

How are you launching niri..?
Do you have systemd..?

Launching niri with niri-session and yes i do have systemd.

Would you be able to copy the niri-portals.conf, reboot, attempt screencast, and then get the journal for xdg-desktop-portal-gnome
