About Me

I am a pharmacist and M.Sc. graduate, currently pursuing my Ph.D. at the Weizmann Institute of Science (Laufman Lab).

My research investigates how enteroviruses such as Coxsackievirus B3, interact with host cellular machineries,
with a focus on the Cytosolic Iron–Sulfur Assembly (CIA) complex and nuclear transport systems.

I am passionate about understanding how viruses rewire host cell pathways and translating complex molecular data into clear biological insights.

Education

  • Ph.D. Candidate, Molecular Genetics - Weizmann Institute of Science

  • M.Sc. in Medical Sciences - The Azrieli Faculty of Medicine, Bar-Ilan University, Safed

  • B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) - Ben-Gurion University of the Negev

Research Focus

  • Host–virus interactions and intrinsic antiviral mechanisms

  • The CIA complex (Cytosolic Iron–Sulfur Assembly) and Fe–S biogenesis

  • Nuclear–cytosolic trafficking and exportins (XPO1)

  • Virology, proteomics, and advanced imaging
