Nekori is ready - the wait is over
The replacement for LNReader-eXtended is finally ready: Nekori.
LNReader-eXtended is no longer under active development. Future updates will focus on Nekori - built with Kotlin/Compose, using a native WebView reader, and designed around the LNReader plugin ecosystem.
Most of the features you would expect from LNReader-eXtended are already available in Nekori, so migrating should be straightforward.
Download Nekori here:

How to migrate your library
- Export an LNReader backup from LNReader-eXtended (or the original LNReader).
- Install Nekori as a separate app.
- Import your LNReader backup into Nekori, then reinstall or update your plugins if needed.
The old app will remain usable, but it will be archived and will no longer receive maintenance or updates.
Nekori is a personal fork, so you may still encounter a few bugs from time to time.
Thank you to everyone who has used LNReader-eXtended, and sorry for keeping you waiting for so long.

Notice
For several reasons:
- LNReader’s database is too limited, and its queries are difficult to optimize.
- The file management system cannot handle the more complex requirements.
- React Native’s UI performance is not good enough, even though I have tried my best to optimize it.
- I am far too lazy to backport 1k files containing a huge number of commits made within roughly one week. The LNReader developers are genuinely very hardworking.
I have therefore decided to temporarily stop further development of LNReader-eXtended.
That said, this is not the end. I am currently working on another fork based on Tsundoku, which is itself a fork of Mihon. It should provide an experience comparable to LNReader-eXtended while benefiting from Kotlin’s much better performance.
When the commit hash in this release note is changed to 00000000, it means you should download the Kotlin application instead. I have not decided on a name for it yet, so I will update this notice later.
Thank you to everyone who has used this AI-slop application.
The other fork will also be AI slop, but I will not be using Antigravity. Thanks, Google, for the outdated Gemini generation and the terrible usage limits.
