Howdy, I just realized that when im downloading from a creator, in this case https://pawchive.st/patreon/user/36476626 / wolfaninensfw, it doesnt download everything from a post. If you click the image it loads fine so idk where is the error and if it happens to other creators too. |

v9.2.5 — Pawchive Fixes & Bug Fixes
Pawchive.st Improvements
Smarter handling for "pending" posts
Pawchive marks some posts as pending — meaning the files haven't been imported from Patreon or Fanbox yet. Before this update, the downloader would just keep retrying over and over until it gave up, which wasted time and spammed your log. Now it tries once, sees the file isn't ready, and tells you clearly why it couldn't download it. You'll get a clean message explaining that either:
That explanation only shows up once per session too, not once per file — so if you're downloading a creator with 50 pending posts, your log won't be flooded.
Fixed the download server address
Pawchive quietly changed which server they serve files from. Downloads were failing with a "can't connect" error because we were pointed at the old address. That's now updated to the correct one.
Automatic fallback if the main server is down
If Pawchive's main file server can't be reached, the downloader will now automatically try the old backup server before giving up. You probably won't even notice — it just silently switches and carries on.
Bug Fixes
App icon now shows correctly in the Windows taskbar
The Kemono Downloader icon was showing as a blank/default Windows icon in the taskbar. This was caused by the icon being set up at the wrong point in the startup process. It now shows the correct icon, both in the taskbar and on the welcome screen.
Welcome screen no longer shows a style error
The first-run welcome tour was logging a "could not parse stylesheet" warning on startup. This was a silent bug where the styling rules lost their labels and Qt just ignored the whole thing. Fixed — the tour now looks the way it was designed to.
Linux: library.db was being saved in the wrong folder
On Linux (Ubuntu etc.), the app was accidentally creating a separate
AppDatafolder (capital A and D) instead of using the existingappdatafolder. This meantlibrary.dbended up in the wrong place and the app couldn't find its own download history. Linux filesystems treat uppercase and lowercase as different folders, unlike Windows. Fixed — everything now goes to the correct lowercaseappdatafolder."Database is locked" error when downloading with multi-threading
Every time a file finishes downloading, the app quietly saves a record of it to a local database (
library.db) so it can keep track of your history. If you had multi-threading enabled and two files happened to finish at the exact same moment, both of them would try to write to that database at the same time — and SQLite doesn't like that. One of them would get knocked back with a "database is locked" error, which meant that file's record didn't get saved (and in some cases the thumbnail save was aborted too). The fix is simple: the app now makes each thread patiently wait its turn before writing. No more collisions, no more errors — everything gets saved properly even when several files finish at once.
