A few days ago, I purchased two Reward Tip locations from tools trader, and left tthem in my car and forgot about them until today, when I purchased two more. The first of the four gave me a unique location, and so did the second, but the third and fourth gave the exact same location as the second.
I am unsure how it's coded, if it's based on the total number of Nails or Codelocks in the lootpool at that time, which could have been two nails and 0 codelocks, then I guess I bad-lucked out. But if it's based on timing, as the last 3 were done within a space of 45seconds of each other, then timing might be in need of a tweak.
I note that this also occured in the first week of wipe, but with rewarded photographs. I turned in all my quests at once and sorted through my rewards, I had received two identical photographs. I read one and left the other unread until I dug up the treasure. Upon digging it up, I went to safety, read the photograph and logged out to go to work. I logged back in after work and it had not been spawned. I reread photograph and came back next morning, it had still not spawned. I wonder if in this case the rewards are based on timing (like how Spawns in vanilla are based on timing, every 5min new location unlocks for every new death to spawn to). I had chalked this one up to bad luck at the time and moved on quickly, though the reward tips issue from this morning one had left me wondering.
