Grove 0.3.1

Choose a tag to compare

@isaachorowitz isaachorowitz released this 14 Oct 08:28

Grove 0.3.1 simplifies the menu bar list.

  • Quick Access now shows repository names only, in the sort order you choose.
  • Pinned repositories and services no longer appear in Quick Access. They stay pinned in the Grove window.
  • Copy Link, Open on GitHub, and Ask Grove still appear when you hover over a repository or select it with the arrow keys.

Install from inside Grove with Grove > Check for Updates…, or download the ZIP, unzip Grove.app, and move it to Applications. The app is Developer ID signed and notarized.

Grove 0.3.0

@isaachorowitz isaachorowitz released this 08 Oct 18:30

Grove 0.3.0 adds signed in-app updates and a repository-focused Library.

  • Choose Grove > Check for Updates… or use the Updates section in Settings. Automatic update checks are optional.
  • Build repository descriptions and detect integrations from bounded source scans, with on-device Apple Intelligence when available.
  • View a compact Overview, hide integrations you do not want to see, and restore them from Hidden Integrations. Hidden choices survive rescans.
  • Search local descriptions and integrations, pin repositories to Quick Access, and resume incomplete profile generation.
  • New users receive GitHub CLI setup guidance and connect their own GitHub account.

Download the ZIP, unzip Grove.app, and move it to Applications. This release supports macOS 15 or later and includes Intel and Apple Silicon binaries. Apple Intelligence requires macOS 26 and supported hardware.

This is the first release with the updater, so installing it from 0.2.x is manual. Later releases can install from inside Grove. The app is Developer ID signed and notarized. Updates verify a signed feed and archive before installation and wait for active work and saved workspace data before relaunching.

Source is available under the MIT license. Release downloads contain no user inventory, workspace archive, saved account, or GitHub credential. Each user signs in through their own GitHub CLI. Runtime on Intel hardware and macOS 15 has not been directly tested.

Grove 0.2.1

@isaachorowitz isaachorowitz released this 08 Oct 07:54

Grove 0.2.1 simplifies saved services and adds repository scanning.

  • Services appear as compact rows with a name, saved link, and Open button.
  • Add or edit a service using its name and HTTPS link, with optional project and repository memberships.
  • Find Services reads known repository configuration and dependency files. Apple Intelligence suggests catalogued services on device, and you review the list before saving anything.
  • Scan links come from a fixed catalog. The model cannot invent website addresses. Edit a link to point to your exact project dashboard.
  • Provider polling, metrics, build status, and credential setup have been removed from the service experience. Existing service links and memberships are preserved.

The scan may miss services. Unsupported services can be added manually. Apple Intelligence requires macOS 26 and supported hardware; the configuration detector remains available without it.

Universal Intel and Apple Silicon macOS app, signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple. macOS 15 or later.

Grove 0.2.0

@isaachorowitz isaachorowitz released this 08 Oct 07:28

Grove now brings repositories, local projects, and their connected services into one native macOS workspace.

  • Projects, shared service connections, pinned dashboard links, and provider resource pickers.
  • Menu bar search with remembered sorting and immediate copy/open actions.
  • Automatic refresh after wake and network recovery.
  • Optional on-device assistant with repository and service context.
  • Reviewed GitHub mutations and supported provider name changes.
  • Encrypted workspace storage and device-only Keychain credentials in the signed app.

Download Grove-0.2.0-macOS.zip, unzip, and move Grove to Applications. Quit earlier Grove instances before opening this release. GitHub CLI authentication is required for repository access.

The app is universal for Apple Silicon and Intel, Developer ID signed, notarized by Apple, and stapled. Minimum declared macOS version: 15. Apple Intelligence requires macOS 26 and supported hardware. Older macOS and Intel runtime behavior have not been directly tested.

Validation: 56 automated tests passed. Live read checks passed for OneSignal, RevenueCat, and Sentry; the on-device assistant smoke passed. Other adapters use synthetic responses. Live destructive operations were not performed. The corrected responsive repository overview was inspected in the signed app. Local Keychain provisioning succeeded, and the configured project displayed five verified service connections.
