might this happens because our using colors or gradiant?
waht happens if you set all to the original: {message} ?

might have a plugin like AntiPopUp? Or NoChatReport? Plugins like this modify the chat output but sadly destory the gradiant meaasage output from cmi. If you do.. you need to reduce your colors message output to the basic 16 & colors.

Issue with gradient colors for chat messages itself. Fix is to add new regex expression while detecting this particular word in chat. Go to chat.yml and under ItemRegex section add this
(([&§]\S)+)?\[(([&§]\S)+)?i(([&§]\S)+)?t(([&§]\S)+)?e(([&§]\S)+)?m(([&§]\S)+)?\]
will add this to default config with next update, tho it will not update existing files.
