The Bug
Abacus AI Desktop's Rules feature, as documented at https://abacus.ai/help/abacusai-desktop/abacusai_desktop_rules, does not function.
Expected Behavior
Per documentation, rules placed in .deepagent-desktop/rules/ should be "always-on instructions" automatically included in the model's context.
Actual Behavior
Rules in .deepagent-desktop/rules/ are NOT loaded. The feature is non-functional.
Workaround Required
Users must manually create an AGENTS.md file in workspace root to trigger rule loading via an undocumented mechanism.
