Whytap 2.2.20

Meeting Assistant is now marked Beta and starts off on every meeting. Turn it on explicitly with the wand; turning it off stops listening and question extraction. Manual text questions remain available.

OpenRouter metadata permission refusals no longer appear as an exhausted key. Temporary failed checks refresh sooner when API & Models is opened, without replacing saved keys or routes.

Screenshot toolbar shortcuts now keep each tool and its arrow key together in one button, with clearer grouping and contrast. Existing shortcut assignments are preserved.

Whytap 2.2.17 (1567) is the first public release notarized by Apple. Both the app and disk image carry stapled notarization tickets; updates also retain Whytap's independent Sparkle Ed25519 verification.

  • Automatic backups capture at most hourly, can be paused, and retain the essential meeting text and Costs data. New backups exclude recordings and clipboard history; existing local data stays in place.
  • Smart editing preserves the wording and order of your thoughts, with a more conservative cleanup prompt.
  • Screenshot tools include Copy text and inline arrow controls, alongside the integrated Calendar and Case improvements.

The first upgrade from an older community-signed build may ask for privacy or Keychain permissions again. Approve access only in the macOS system window; never enter your login password into an agent or chat. Later updates signed by the same Apple team retain the same identity.

Exodia 2.2.15

Community builds are now signed with Exodia's own certificate instead of ad-hoc signing. You never install or trust the certificate yourself. Because every future build carries the same certificate, macOS keeps privacy permissions such as Microphone and System Audio Recording across updates. Earlier builds were signed ad hoc, so this first update asks for these permissions one last time; if the Drop shortcut or paste stops working, open Settings → Permissions and grant what it shows as missing.

Fast and Smart now do exactly what they say. Fast inserts your speech without the cleanup model. Smart always uses the LLM you chose: if it fails, Exodia keeps the transcript in memory and shows Retry with the same mode and target instead of silently inserting unprocessed text.

Settings → Permissions shows the actual Drop shortcut state. Retry shortcut reinstalls it without changing your saved shortcut, and a shortcut taken by another app is reported as in use instead of asking for more permissions. Pressing a Toggle shortcut while Accessibility is missing opens the repair view before a recording starts.

Only one Exodia copy runs at a time across production and beta. Opening a second copy shows which one is running and offers to activate it, so your shortcuts and current work stay with the running app. Settings shows the running copy's version, build, channel and path.

Deepgram with Auto language now uses the selected Nova model's multilingual mode, and an explicit language is checked against what the model supports. Your saved model and provider are not changed.

Deleting a meeting is safer: if a file cannot be removed, the meeting stays in the list with its note, and a note save that lands after Delete no longer brings the note back.

This community build is signed with Exodia's self-signed certificate and an independent Sparkle Ed25519 signature, without Apple Developer or notarization.

Meeting Notes can delete a finished meeting. Right-click a ready or failed meeting in the list and choose Delete…; after you confirm, Exodia removes its note, transcript and any recording still staged on this Mac. When launch recovery finds a staged recording whose meeting already has a note, it now removes that leftover audio too.

Provider batch transcription, announced as a follow-up in 2.2.11, is now in place. If a dictation stream drops, Exodia recovers the take through the speech provider you chose in Settings → Models, with your own key; Retry on "Couldn't deliver", the recorder fallback and the agent's recorded voice use the same provider. Copies uploaded to Soniox are deleted afterwards. Without a chosen provider and key, nothing is sent.

On the first launch after the update, Exodia deletes the on-device model files that earlier versions downloaded to Application Support/Sidekey, freeing up to a few GB. Meeting detection files are kept.

A self-hosted speech endpoint with an empty or unparseable URL is now rejected in Settings → Models and before connecting, instead of falling back to api.openai.com.

This community build uses ad-hoc signing and an independent Sparkle Ed25519 signature, without Apple Developer or notarization.

Clipboard now shows the latest 20 copies with scrolling inside History. It retains up to 50 local text, image and file-path records across application restarts, evicting only the oldest excess records and their images. Older copies already erased by previous versions cannot be recovered.

Toolbox removes the native drag preview before inserting the dropped tool, preventing the brief duplicate icon. Target feedback, correct Add placement and Reduce Motion remain.

Also includes the already-merged BYOK-only change: on-device speech, cleanup and meeting models were removed. Select your provider routes in Settings → Models if the previous route was Local; the app never silently sends that content to a provider. Silero VAD remains for meeting detection. Provider batch transcription is a follow-up, so the batch-recovery rung, Retry and recorder/agent batch fallback currently have no recognizer. Existing provider streaming routes remain.

This community build uses ad-hoc signing and an independent Sparkle Ed25519 signature, without Apple Developer or notarization.

Monitor keeps its heading centered and fits the same height as the normal hover. Dashboard lists scroll inside the panel, including long lists. The picker no longer shows implementation instructions or a filesystem path.

The search loupe now renders as a separate symbol inside the native search button area, preserving native input, clearing and button actions when returning from Monitor.

Completed Soniox recordings with no speech now finish with a "No speech detected" note instead of remaining in a retry loop.

Community macOS build for Apple Silicon and Intel. Saved tools, dashboards and provider keys are retained.

Larger, clearer tool icons within the compact hover capsules. The white icon disk is now 30 points and standard symbols 17 points, while the drawer keeps the same width as the island with three capsules per row.

Names, current statuses, click targets, keyboard shortcuts and saved settings are retained.

@AbsoluteMode AbsoluteMode released this 17 Oct 14:12

Hover now matches the exact width of the island, with three smaller tool capsules per row. Names and current statuses remain inside each capsule.

Monitor dashboards adapt to the narrower hover with compact server metrics and a single flexible widget column. Search, History, music and pointer routing share the island width.

Community macOS build for Apple Silicon and Intel. User settings and provider keys are retained.
