Hey Ace-Step,
I published a preprint last night that should put the "all ai music is slop" nonsense to bed. Two days ago I used my own interface which adds a VLLM Gemma and a Qwythos (Qwen trained on Fable traces) to a pipeline that automatically scans my followers, analyzes their tastes, images, etc and writes a custom song for them and packages the song with cover art into a threejs based webgl/html letter. That's cool.... but not the whole of it.
I got quite pissed off because after all this effort to give people something for free I received a few dm's back from people who ranted that ai music is slop. ALL OF IT. So I did something to prove it's not. And because I have 30+ years of working at the intersection of the light and the wire, the resume and the work speak for themselves. Meaning I can be polite, write a paper, and likely things will change.
Here's the paper and linked music. I mentioned and gave full credit to Ace-step. What you've built, and my own additions make it the finest musical instrument ever made or played. We shall all be remembered as the pioneers. It's on the permanent record.
