Lakehouse Engine v1.26.1 is Now Available – Critical Fixes Included!
We’re excited to announce the release of Lakehouse Engine v1.26.1, a highly recommended upgrade for all users currently on versions 1.25.0 or 1.26.0. This release includes two important fixes that address stability and data quality issues in production environments:
🔧 Key Fixes in v1.26.1
- PRISMA Schema Writing Fix Resolved an issue in the DQ Framework (PRISMA) where delta files containing only null values were incorrectly assigned a VOID type. This caused downstream schema inference errors and data pipeline failures.
- Transformer Factory Idempotency Fix Fixed a bug affecting union, join, and incremental_df transformers. When repairing tasks on Databricks, the engine could throw a KeyError due to idempotency issues in the transformer factory logic.
⚠️ Why You Should Upgrade ASAP
These bugs can lead to critical failures in data pipelines and schema propagation. We strongly recommend prioritising this upgrade to ensure stability and correctness in your workflows.
✅ Compatibility & Testing
No breaking changes between v1.25.0 and v1.26.1
Still, we advise careful testing in dev/staging environments before rolling out to your prod data pipelines
This is considered a minor version bump with targeted fixes
📦 Upgrade now to benefit from improved reliability and smoother operations.
