Docker Swarm Support?

Good Day,

Our team would like host Proxcenter on Docker Swarm across three separate nodes in three different regions/sites for high availability and scalability reasons.

Will this work and is it a supported architecture for Proxcenter?

Hosting ProxCenter on Docker Swarm across three regions is not a supported architecture today. The main reason is the database: PostgreSQL is the single source of truth and ships as one instance, so an active-active multi-region setup is not something we currently support or test.

Good news: we are actively preparing an HA feature that will let you run several ProxCenter instances in a Master/Failover setup. That is the path we would recommend for your high-availability needs, and it will be the supported way to do this.

I will keep this discussion updated as it progresses. In the meantime, happy to hear more about your HA targets (RTO/RPO, whether your Proxmox clusters span the regions).
