🙋 Documentation Request

Hello from the axe-core maintainers!

The Accessibility section of the Select docs (+ the Known accessibility false positives wiki page's "Picker" section it links to) both talk about a false positive axe-core reports with <HiddenSelect>-based picker components in the aria-hidden-focus rule. We were tracking this in dequelabs/axe-core#4165, but when @straker went to investigate it today, we found that the issue no longer repros.

We think that the false positive was probably resolved last year by #7200, which removed the tabbable <input> element from the <HiddenSelect> component.

We're going to close the axe-core bug as no-repro (if you disagree and think you still have a repro against current versions of axe/react-aria, we'd be happy to reopen the axe-core issue if you can provide updated repro steps). We wanted to let you know and mention that you can probably drop the note from your docs.

Thanks!
