Can this be compiled to depend on system libraries instead of building them?

Instead of downloading and compiling libraries like openjpeg, openexr, libwebp, etc, is there a way to compile this to depend on existing installed system libraries, at least on linux?

Sadly no, there no such way without modifying the cmake scripts.

I have something coming for this; it'll require disabling some libraries/features, but I think it'll still be useful.
